Re: Aberdeen V's Dundee United - Sat 18th April@3pm

I think it's likely we will be conceding a few, and can't see where goals will come from to counter that: hope I'm wrong, but last Saturday was a sticking plaster on a broken limb.

It's going to be a depressing 3 to 4-0 defeat.

Aberdeen are consistent but they rarely blow teams away tbh.

Fuck sake.

Might see Coote or Johnson before the seasons out at this rate.

Don't think Johnson can play mate. Jackie has said Coote will make his debut before end of season apparently.

Read it on another forum

Re: Aberdeen V's Dundee United - Sat 18th April@3pm

Rankin and Connolly both very doubtful. Down to the bare bones. I'd go for:

…..…........................................Rado

.....................Morris.............Souttar................Fojut

McGowan...........Butcher..................Telfer.................Dixon

................Ciftci.......................Bilate..................Erskine

Subs:
Zwick (the Poles flogger was poor on Tues)
Dillon
Spark (played well Tues but took a few knocks)
Spittal
Smith (played well Tues)
Muirhead
Anier

Think Rankin's doubtful too.

Regarding Johnson, can't players start matches as amateurs any more?

No Paton. :D

Heard it was the opposite.

We tried to sign JJ as a developement player but there was some kind of red-tape issue in relation to the transfer window.

So long story short we have apparently signed him on 'mature forms' till the seasons end.

I would surmise from that that he could infact play for the first team.

Though i'm not sure we'd want to put him in the shop window before the transfer window opens. He's already gathering some interest.

Re: Aberdeen V's Dundee United - Sat 18th April@3pm

I know we don't want to finish below Dundee but tbh the season is fucking over. Jackie is always willing to chop and change for no good fucking reason. I would try and give game time to as many youngsters as possible. I know there is an argument about each place costing money but FFS if the chairman or manager plead fucking poverty I'm getting right on the blower to them and getting them TELT

Re: Aberdeen V's Dundee United - Sat 18th April@3pm

If Rankin and Connolly are both out we should play Souttar in midfield and bring Dillon back into the back 4.

Could play a 5-3-2/3-5-2 even

McGowan-Dillon-Morris-Fojut-Dixon
.........Souttar-Butcher-Telfer..........
.................Bilate-Ciftci.......................

Tell Gowser and Dixon to bomb forward at every opportunity.

4th should get us into Europe.  Hope the players are not thinking the season is over.

SOuttar will never play in Midfield. If you're playing three at the back, Souttar HAS to be one of them and not fucking Dillon.

Agreed 100%. Anyone who thinks Dillon should be anywhere near a starting slot was clearly not at the Ross County or Dundee games. His best bit was his big diagonal ball to absolutely no-one at Dens.

I wasn't at either of those games but watched an hour of the County game and the full Derby on SKY.

Dillon was far far from the worst player in both games IMO.

He was fucking brutal mate trust me.  Ross County game especially.  Souttar needs games.  He's also carrying too much timber at the moment to be playing in midfield.

Agree with you on that.

Looks a few pounds overweight to me too.

As does Nads.
