Going back to when you broke into the first team, i know you rate Lars Zetterlund highly but can you describe some of the things that he helped you with, was it in training or during a game talking to you etc.

Also did big Sieb get the porn star 'tache banter from you guys in the dressing room.

My final question mate and i'll let you catch up with the rest.

What was the BEST and WORST grounds you played on?

Cheers pal, I've really enjoyed it. Happy to do it again any time

BEST - Ibrox

WORST - too many to choose from, I've played at some dumps! Hungerford Town (night game for Swindon reserves) - floodlights didn't cover the full pitch, no hot water, had to hold the light on while on the pan - 5*

scooby Davidson is married to the wife's best pal...great lad..thoughts on him and why he never made it after a great start to his Utd career?

Scooby is a great lad and a good player. I remember him getting absolute pelters from our fans after a game against Aberdeen and I don't think that helped his confidence at such a young age. He was brilliant for our youth team and gave absolutely everything.

Telling, the effect some fans can have on their own players.

Just registered here guys to say what a gent this man is and will always be a united legend in my mind.

Remember being a young lad and just back from one of the most exciting games of football I had been at. 3-2 St Johnstone game to ensure we stayed up. And once back on hallowed ground that was the top of the hilltown, I seen Craig go into Luigi's - which I believe was a regular Saturday stop off???? Anyway once in and started to tell him what that day meant to a teenage united fan he then paid for my bag of chips and can of coke. Never forget how pleased he was that we had won that day and something you'll never forget.

Nevertheless I proceeded to tell everyone who would listen to me about this including friends. Well turns out my best man in 2011 gets in touch with Craig who duly sent up a photo of him in his missus wedding vail with a message wishing me and the wife all the best. Never a man can go higher up in my estimation.

Anyway my question......

What was your favourite pizza from Luigi's ;-)

Brilliant mate!! I remember it well

You're killing me by bringing up Luigi's - could murder a large margarita, 4 fritter and a can of Vimto right now

When we're back visiting it's always first stop! Visocchis a close 2nd.

Was that before the dieticians, or just carbing up?

Pre-match Visocchis, post-match Luigis - pure athlete

Craig you mentioned the problems Billy Dodds departure caused Utd. What advice would you give Jackie McNamara about coping without Armstrong and GMS?

It's so tough when you lose any of your best players and sometimes (like Doddsy) they're irreplaceable in the context of your team and the way you want to play. Maybe sligthly adjusting the style of play to suit what you have and play to other strengths but still keeping the same general philosophy - which isn't easy

Great stuff, Craig, thank you, you are a gentleman. Spoke to your dad a few times at matches, a polite and proud father who also shared his time around watching your brother Stewart (who I watched quite a few matches at Stenhousemuir).

Thanks again.

Lars was great on and off the pitch - he was a great person to have to learn from and look up to. He was professional in the way he went about everything. He trained like he played and I feel he was an all-round midfielder - aside from maybe the goal element. We seemed to have a good understanding and he would talk to me about my game and give advice almost every day.

Sorry, Sieb!

Sieb was amazing - never met anyone else like him and I doubt I ever will. Worst gear ever, didn't care though. Struggled once in a pre-season warm-up when he thought we'd started the actual run. One of the best goalies I've ever played with - his agility defied physics

Good read Craig, i had a few drunkin' blethers with you back in the day in what i think was called the Cooler in session street, good times, hope you go as far as you possibly can in the game.

That's really kind, thank you. My Dad is the reason Stewart and I had professional careers. Stewart was a better player than me, it just didn't work out for him. I'm still gutted I missed the chance to play against him when Airdrie came to Tannadice in the cup due to injury. He says I was scared.

Thanks for the questions

Thanks for the questions guys. It's been good to reminisce about the United days. Lots of happy memories from my time there.

Really appreciate everyone taking the time to get involved tonight.

A great read - favourite story was Wee Tommy telling you to shove your tape up your arse!

If you can squeeze one more answer in - As you came through the ranks at Tannadice, do you consider yourself a United man? Or are you still an Airdrie fan at heart?

Cracking read, it must be said.

Weird seeing a professional footballer from North Lanarkshire use proper vocabulary.
