According to BBC (Tele Text) United are still waiting on a £1m payment from Hull (due last Friday) whilst they ponder their next offer to Blackburn after having a £10m offer knocked back for Jordan Rhodes. Anything official on this?

See to be honest, I think this is pretty poor form that the club have gone to the press with this, way to ruin a potentially good relationship with Hull by grassing them up to the BBC.
I know they are late with the payment, and it's a shed load of money, but in my opinion, some things should be dealt with behind close doors.

Agree with that JonBon.
Not the first time we've ran to the press regarding financial disagreements with other clubs.
This type of 'grassing up' doesn't sit well with me.

1. Don't have a problem with my club stating facts.
2. Why should we lose out on interest on £1M that we are entitled to?
3. It worked faster than going to FIFA.
4. Remember which party was in breach of contract.

Don't agree bugsy, I don't think we need to do our business like this in public.
Rather than go to the press, or even FIFA as you suggest why not just phone and ask them what the script is? We (CLUB) would have then found out earlier, rather than via the BBC, that Hull had made an error with their payment and got it rectified sooner.
We wouldn't have then lost out on about £800 interest.

We did contact them at the time the money was due, we then learned they had sent the money to the wrong FA (a week ago) and it then took them a week to make payment.
I believe we would have lost out on a lot more interest if we hadn't gone public because the next move was FIFA and they're hardly rapid response.

Some see it as grassing, eh see it as naming and shaming guilty parties who are in breach of contract.

Would imagine United are the best payers in the world either.
If we want to do business with clubs it doesn't give them a great impression of us if we grass them up to the press. Especially if it was a genuine error which caused the payment to be late.

In the minority of one, but I've become a bit of a cynic over the years since every genuine mistake in payment terms is in the favour of, and benefits, the incompetent.
I'm sure Mooney added on the interest as a gesture of goodwill.

You're not in a minority of one mate, I just hadn't bothered adding my support for you yet.
There are no secrets in football from the press, only question is whether they report what they know.
Utd supporters are quick enough to complain they don't get told anything about the finances, they get info and the clubs grassing others up, can't win
