Didnt do much 1st half. Kept making wrong decisions. Better 2nd half. Causing lots of problems. Its 2-0 now btw. Both goals against run of play. Utd nothing up front. Got in good positions but final ball poor. The laddie Robson at left back looks a player btw. Coote is what he is; a 16 year old laddie with ability but a lot to learn.

I've been impressed with Jamie Robson every time I've seen him. Bit lightweight just now but his attitude makes up for that.

Re: DUFC U20's Thread

Why do they play these games in Forfar when they've just parent a fortune on Gussie?

I am off this week and would have went to watch to kill a few hours. I'm fucked if I'm driving to fucking Forfar to watch a development game

Yeah yeah Industrial Estate

Re: DUFC U20's Thread

It costs £1000 a game to play it at Forfar. Don't play at Gussie seemingly due to lack of a spectator area. Dundee United Development Association (DUDA) along with Arabtrust starting to raise money to build a covered 500 seater stand and a kiosk but this process will likely take a couple of years.

Too much commotion

Pity we gave the original Fair Play Enclosure to North End then rather than house it at Gussie Park (I guess it was to do with N.E providing training facilities) as it seems to be at a big cost to the Club and annoyance to some of our very loyal supporters who would like to watch our young players progress.
Sort this out please United if you are to continue to promote yourself as a Club that is a platform for Scotland's best talent

Sounds like you were at the Trust AGM last week. 😉

I thought we had to play the home games at Farfir/Arbroath/Kirkcaldy or even fucking Airdrie at a cost of £1k because:-

1. We had to save Tannadice.
2. There was a minimum FIFA or EUFA level of ground to be reached (floodlights?, barriers? Etc).

Now Tannadice is fucked with very few development games being played there and we played Accies a few weeks ago at St Andrews? WTF, cos I'm at a loss to explain it. North End with our old stand is surely more suitable than a University playing field or expensive foreign fields?

Re: DUFC U20's Thread

Living in Forfar its fine for me. Its the kick off times that are the big problem though. Decent crowd today but only because lots of folk are on holiday just now. It will be good if Gussie gets seated though.

Yes on the AGM btw  ;-)

Re: DUFC U20's Thread

You're right about KO times, especially now in Summertime. Could make Forfar at 6, or miss first 10 minutes at Arbroath but at least I could then witness the development again.

PS I was the auld man next tae Billy Kay. 👴🏻

Evening, Bugs. It was Paul McNicoll who I watched the game with. Give him a follow on Twitter: @TheBoyMcNicoll

Sorry, Benny, but my limit on social media is Tekel Towers, with a weekly visit to mad to see if Tommy Dunne has posted.

Honest to God, Bugs: You're better off that way.

Your life can almost end up being ruled by alerts from this, tweets from that. I envy you!

Nowhere near £1000 mate. It's in the region of £180.

Re: DUFC U20's Thread

See we're playing in Farfir at 2pm on a work day at a cost of circa £1k when others can play on the GA Arena in the evening at £28/40 mins. Beh fuck eh do not get it.  😔

Posts crossed Silver, but that figure is a quote, any idea what the rate is for Excelsior because half the development games in Scotland have been played there.
