Started well, got the equaliser and then faded very badly and we cant defend cross balls.
Wouldnt be surprised if Jackie was away before wednesday's derby.

Neither would i.
To stay till the end of the season might fuck up his time at Utd and CV which at the moment is still decent.
Team and clubs in freefall though.
Sad times.

Team looks lost. Desperately needing some organisation and motivation. Played some good stuff first half today but the lack of an out and out striker cost us yet again to a) run in behind b) shoot on sight. No width whatsoever second half was also baffling when we clearly were struggling to play through them. Paton was gash, Rankin was marginally better. Oh and I'll have a pint of whatever the sponsors were drinking. Dillon really is finished. Dixon's decline is worrying as well and ditching Watson and Townsend looking like monumentally bed decsions. Spittal and Connolly did well first half but still too lightweight and neither able to change a game by themselves. Ciftci played well first half but trying too hard 2nd half and made an erse of everything he did.

Some reaction today from Dundee United Supporters when our club captain was announced as man of the match, rightly or wrongly we are acting like Rangers in disguise.

TBH, I think we played pretty well 1st half, apart from the faux-pas where our opposition get a free punt of a goal from a set-piece. All too often this Season I'm afraid. 2nd half not worth talking about.
Starting line-up looked wrong to me, esp. with Paton starting. He's not a favourite of mine, but he played better today than he has since Dens.
Substitutions were too late and wrong. He took son of Paddy off, when he was probably the MOTM for me, (not Dillon ffs) Well between Aiden and Squiddy and possibly Shifty, who both looked knackered by the end and shoulda been off.
Shifty was all the park the day and generally tidying up other folk's mistakes. But 2 criticisms are necessary. He takes far too long to get back onside from an off position. And also wish he's learn to keep his trap shut, and stop arguing with the Ref in the belief he's got the ability to get them to change their mind.
Ridiculous that we havent won a game in 2 months, except Stranraer. Think 3rd spot is probably gone now, and we have to rely on Smellsick getting the treble to have a chance of Europe, and that's only if we can maintain 4th.
The feeling I got from my fellow supporters round me at the final whistle, was one of wanting heads to roll, and it didnt help matters when the song "Dont Blame Me" came blaring out the phuckin tannoy.

Daft, daft.... silly voting the poor guy motm (via too much booze), and even more stupid announcing it. Almost like some people behind the scenes want turmoil.

Aye, that was a monumental fuck up too.

The sponsors MOTM has been a joke all season, view must be very different from wherever they sit. No excuse for the derision today tho.

I did, pretty standard stuff.eg played well 1st half, soft goals, flat 2nd half etc. Said issues bothered him but not our preparation.

Good morning folks.
I was at Tannadice for your match with Ross County yesterday and got the feeling Hunted is right, J Mac's time is about up(first thought this during the week after reading one of the statements).
Utd should have been 2-0 up before County took the lead, but when they did, i kinda got the feeling Utd would lose. That lad Jackson totally dominated midfield in the second half and your lot just never got going at all - pity, because i'd have liked to see County go down but they're doing their bit right now tbf.
Felt sorry for Dillon at the MotM announcement - to me it was a sympathy vote going horribly wrong as it was probably the final straw for many who'd bitten their tongue all afternoon. Also, i may be mistaken, but i'm sure Czierniak never warmed up before the match!?! Connolly looks like your next big player and Ciftci berating the female lino was bloody hilarious.
Finally, went to that Kobee for a meal last night - shite.

Not at all, Saint, i'm partial to a bit o lamb, particularly in a curry, but as you arabs will know, it's about 2 years since lamb has been properly done in Dundee.
We was booked into the la carte menu part of the place and straight away wished we'd opted for the teppanyaki - nae sure if i could trust the mrs to behave accordingly though, be like bringing a clapping seal to the circus.

For me the reason the game changed in the 2nd half was county saw why United were the better team in the "1st half and made changes. They went to having 3 central midfielder and from then on took charge in that area. JM should have put Butcher on to steady the ship and of course it goes without saying Rankin and Butcher were too deep.
