Takin ma good lady there for her 40th next week fellas. First time visit for both of us.
We will generally be going to eat well and drink copious amounts o alcohol, but we need direction in regards best bars and good music etc.
Any feedback appreciated.
Edited to say: we're staying in the jury's inn Parnell St, which is only 5-10 mins fae Temple Bar , so we're pretty central.

Haven't been for a few years but it is dear as fuck tbh. Cracking night life though. Temple Lane is good. Guinness factory worth a visit but it was pricey. Good view of Dublin from the top though to enjoy with your "free" pint. Kilmannan gaol worth a visit. Loads of statues of boys who have been killed by us Brits. GPO building worth a look to see the bullet holes from 1916. Loads of shops for the missus during the day and loads of boozers to escape for a pint. Get the open top bus. Gives you your bearings and you can jump on and off. Loads of poor folk though

Went to the racing at Leopardstown Racecourse when i was over there, a magic day out at the GG's if you both like a wee flutter and a few bottles of the bubbles

They say it tastes different in Dublin.
What's yer opinion Sid?
Rekon if I lived oot there it would taste like bankruptcy with divorcey aftertaste.
Online!
11 euro for a vodka n one of the temple lane bars when we were there on preseason...
1 notable arab told Jon DALY, my mate thinks yer sh!te, but I think yer ok.
I wasn't overly impressed with Guinness tour but you kinda have to do it. City tour bus was ace. Get you everywhere u needed. Some of the conductors had quality banter, others not so much.
Get yer self to tolka rovers for a drink and to rob their kit room...
Maybe worth reading up a bit on the history of the country etc to make tours of the jail etc more relevant.

It used to taste different apparently because the stuff in uk was brewed in London. However for more than 10 years I think it's all been brewed in Dublin. It's lovely stuff although I go through phases of drinking it.
Makes your shite a really funny colour though

dont like it..
temple bar area is the dearest as its 1 of the tourist hot spots plenty drinks cheaper elsewhere.
We went into there at about 12 and the place was totally packed full

Ironically the cheapest pint your likely to get in the centre is in Temple Bar. Hard Rock Cafe do pints for 4.50.
Lots of great boozers in the Grafton Street / St Stephens Green area. (Stags Head, O'Neills, The Hairy Lemon, John Kehoes, Davy Byrnes, O'Donoghues)

Flight in a few hours, will report back on my return.
