It depends how you define "best"?

I think the English, Spanish and Germans can all lay a different claim.

The Spanish league has the best players, the biggest clubs and the most skilful football to watch but the bigger/better teams win most weeks which means I generally swerve it nowadays, I was on holiday in the Basque country a few years ago and Sociedad won the second division (or got promoted, can’t remember) so I look out for them if I can, also my mate at work is a native of Almeria and a massive fan of them so again, I look out for them.  Bored to death of Real and Barca though.

The German league has the most competitive league (maybe not so much the last two years with Bayern dominating right enough) with massive crowds, wonderful stadiums, high scoring games and the highest percentage of nationals playing in their own top flight but I don’t know a lot of the players outside maybe one or two teams.  If it’s on I’ll watch it but I won’t go out of my way to see when there is a game on.

The English league is marketed fantastically and the one thing I like about it (out with betting...) is that anyone can beat anyone and it's also the most worldwide league with the amount of different nationalities playing in it, which is to the detriment of their National team, which I'm all for!  It’s generally these games that I try and watch
 
IF we could get rid of Celtic and Sevco we could have a mini German league where every year we could have a different champions with hopefully nearly full houses at the majority of our grounds where we all watch Scottish players playing for our Clubs that are living within their means which would benefit our national team in the long run.  That’s my dream anyway.

I do admire the way German's have sorted their league out though fae grass roots fitba tae excellent stadia where you can safely stand and affordable ticket pricing in line with the average wage.

£75 to go and see West Ham v Spurs on Saturday.A disgrace.

Agree, watched the Edinburgh derby on Sunday instead of the English games, the money's ruined it down there it's actually boring now and I used to watch loads of it.

Champions league is the same, I'd rather go down a park and watch an ammie game.

i only ever watch either rochdale or dundee united tbh get bored after about 20 min of watching any other game on tv
