Airbus 380

This is the double decker or super Jumbo.

Anyone been in one; and if so what was it like?

I've taxied past them and looked on in awe as they have taken off and landed, but I'm actually flying in one in a week's time and interested what to expect.

I've only ever been upstairs in a conventional Jumbo once (they do have cattle class up there too you know) and it was smart, so booked the two seats upstairs again on this!

Re: Airbus 380

I thought about booking upstairs seats on one of them but I'm scared of heights...

Re: Airbus 380

Would like to pilot one but the thought of all those people speaking behind my back puts me off

Hear their shout, hear their roar
They've probably had a barrel of ale and much, much more
Hooray, hooray, hooray, yeah
Over the hill went the swords of a thousand men

Re: Airbus 380

LOL lads!!!

On a much more serious note, just woken to see the allegations in the New York Times that the pilot of that GermanWings plane that crashed the other day was apparently locked out of the cockpit.  Q speculation frenzy!

Re: Airbus 380

Holy

Just seen the French Prosecutors Press Conference and it appears a stick on that the German Co Pilot is responsible

So after 9/11 a'body's excluded from the cockpit, but last year we had a psycho Malaysian Pilot and now a psycho Co Pilot that can lock the Captain out.

Whatever next???

Re: Airbus 380

Confirmed that the 28year old German co-pilot deliberately flew into the Alps. The pilot went to the loo and couldn't get back in to cockpit.

Holy Christ.
