i think every utd fan would agree that we like the way mcnamara sets the team to play nice high tempo football with the ball on the floor and at times we can look very good on the eye but i would like us to mix it a bit by being a bit nastier in the middle of park i like a team to have a nasty edge to it and i know refs now are card happy and you cant get away with what you did years ago but i still believe we need to get a bit nastier without going overboard in the middle of park paton n rankin are to nice why not drop one and give telfer a try there or try get a player in that can boss a game with bit of aggression

Biggest problem is we're not pressing high enough/quick enough - that was the biggest difference on Saturday.

Don't really get all these calls for a couple of nasty bastards, I'd rather have boys that can play better football and be brave enough to negate the nasty bastards in the opposition team.
Admittedly we have a couple of guys who occasionally shit themselves in a 50/50, That's an issue that needs resolved by the management, doesn't mean we need them replaced by Jim Goodwin and Ian Black.

Hear ya Bugs but we adopted the same tactics against the Sheep the week before - have the ball and try and play through us - and it worked a treat.
On Saturday we can say it backfired big time but we lost 4 goals from set pieces. That was our problem IMO

Set pieces definitely a major problem on Saturday.
But you can only invite the lesser teams onto you for counter attack.

Celtic are a far better team, end of lads. We beat who we needed to, I'm no worried.

first post on this site so go easy on me i dont think we need to be nasty i just think we need to cut out individual errors i only get to maybe ten games a season but i think in the last few seasons alot of goals we concede are silly mistakes that can be sorted out on the training pitch by the coaching staff

Argree, I reckon they'll be a few sore heads in training from cross balls this week as our final ball against Motherwell was the only thing that let us down on Wednesday until the ability to defend the final ball against Celtic on Saturday proved a bigger headache
