Team for Wednesday.....

Walking wounded and suspensions means we are to quote Harry Redknapp "down to the bare bones"

JMac no doubt go 4-5-1 although given our abject effort up top since end of January I really wish he would try something different....however , if it is to be 4-5-1 ...

Rado

McGowan
Morris
Fojut
Rankine

Erskine
Paton
Telfer
Butcher
Connolly

Shifty

Huge gemme and very much winnable....

Try something a wee bit different, solid (hopefully) platform with players who can actually find that pass needed around the opposition box.

Leaves a bench of Szromnik, Spittal, Erskine, Anier, Spark, Coote, A N Other

Re: Team for Wednesday.....

Let's go back to a proper 4231 please. Push Telfer off of Ciftci and not as a third in midfield. Connolly has to start for width and I wouldn't be against Spittal playing to offer protection and something on the wing along with Connolly.

Re: Team for Wednesday.....

I don't really like him either but he'd be a better option than Erskine who has been awful for ages. Lazy as fuck as well.

Dow can play.

Dow is doing my fucken head in TBH. Some great touches at times yesterday, but off the ball... dont get me started, I try not to be too negative about individuals.

Thats what I'd play too. Might start Erskine instead of Dow though after his exertions on Sunday. We need to get back to passing the ball again. Connolly, Telfer, Dow and Erskine are all talented footballers. I'm fucked if I'm putting up with a Utd team full of defenders and defensive midfielders every week.

Re: Team for Wednesday.....

There's absolutely no danger that Spittal won't start, what I want and what I think we'll get are often two very different things under McNamara, I think we'll get.

Rado

Spittal
Morris
Fojut
McGowan

Dow
Paton
Butcher
Rankin
Ciftci

Anier

Re: Team for Wednesday.....

Given up trying to guess the team but I am going to support all players who take the field for us!!!! Hopefully they can all stay on unless they are subbed. Mind they have yet to score against us in the twa games when we have had the same amount of players on the pitch.

This will be my first trip to tink park for a game against Celtic for years so fingers crossed I can bring some good luck.

Kept the faith 2-0 Utd
