The 2nd match of Round 2 saw a close but low-scoring match surprisingly (imo) won by SOFT CELL'S cover version of Gloria Jones,"Tainted Love".It will now progress through to the 3rd Round,and joining it there will be "What Difference Does it Make?" by THE SMITHS (which is also used to rather brilliant effect for the opening credits of the C4 drama series "This Is England").Eliminated at this stage are "Atmosphere" the posthemeus Ian Curtis penned release by Joy Division and also "I Can't Escape Myself" written by the equally talented+tragic figure of Adrian Borland of The Sound.
