DUFC v Celtic - League Cup Final,Sunday 15th March 3PM

Let's start the match thread and build-up early lads.

What team and formation?

I'd go with same team as Sunday past, but with Bilate for Ciftci.Formation was a sort of 4-1-2-3 or 4-5-1 depending on how you look at it.And IT WORKED!!

Rado

McGowan
Dillon
Fojut
Dixon

Paton

Butcher
Rankin

Connolly
Bilate
Dow

Subs -

Szromnik
Morris
Telfer
Anier
Spittal
Souttar
Coote

Dont see any reason to make changes, other than Ciftci obviously, same attitude  as the weekend past and we'll be bringing silver back.

Rado

McGowan
Fojut
Morris
Dicker

Paton

Rankine
The Butcher

Erskine
Super Mario
Connolly

Would die a very happy man if we can beat the odds and bring that cup back on Sunday....talent wise we can match up......but it will need desire and heart which was severely lacking at Parkhead against St Johnstone but abundant at Tannadice on Sunday to give us a platform to go on and win .

Re: DUFC v Celtic - League Cup Final,Sunday 15th March 3PM

I fear abjest misery, humiliation and pain.

Which i'm comfortable with.

Infact i'm almost at the stage of telling myself this would be fine,i'm so used to it v THEM.

3 games in 6 days v THEM in Glasgow coming up,with a limited squad to pick from to put it mildly.Stuff of nightmares for Utd supporters normally lets be honest.

Anything less than 3 sore defeats a moral/emotional result.

But i will go,as always, with a tiny crumb of hope in my heart.

I don't even want to consider winning it just now.

1 game at a time, but fucking bring it...i'm up for it and ready to embrace anything that comes of these matches.

There is NOTHING,no type of defeat we've suffered v THEM that we haven't experienced already as a support. That,to me,should galvanise our support and hopefully our support will go through with a defiant+fighting attitude that will hopefully transmit over to the team.

Re: DUFC v Celtic - League Cup Final,Sunday 15th March 3PM

I can see Dillon starting at left-back strangely enough.  Dixon not really got going.  (Not what I'd do personally but think that Jackie will start Dillon somewhere).

Too much commotion

Re: DUFC v Celtic - League Cup Final,Sunday 15th March 3PM

Dixon HAS to start the Final.

He is missing the replay remember so if Dillon played LB and got injured then we're totally fucked for the replay..

And if we get a direct free kick in and around their box please let Dixon take it.

Re: DUFC v Celtic - League Cup Final,Sunday 15th March 3PM

Dillon will start in the Cup Final. He has been through to the Cup photo shoots. Also his performance on Sunday was tremendous. We need height up front. Morris in at Centre back, and try McGowan as an attacking midfielder. He has apparently played in that position in the past and he will be going for a hat trick of Cup wins and a hat trick of scoring in them all.

Re: DUFC v Celtic - League Cup Final,Sunday 15th March 3PM

Get Dow to fuck.

He's a subbie -you seen the difference that he made in the semi coming off the bench.

He's hasn't done nearly enough to start since. I'd repeat the semi.

2 goals v Stranraer ? Wow. Could have put those in with his cock if he wanted.

Oh, what came of the things we once believed?

I don't know why but i have a wee feeling for Dow in this Final and have done for sometime.

And that's coming fae somebody who doesn't really rate him too highly.

Can't start Dow and Connolly in the same team against Celtic without Shifty imo

Re: DUFC v Celtic - League Cup Final,Sunday 15th March 3PM

Was clearing the thrapple this morning by singing some United songs pre showering and as per usual the dug started to simulate a pianist so i went to have the daily wrestle with him and the little bastard started pissing all over me with his paws in the air.
Looking back i'm not sure if this may be some sort of lucky gesture for tomorrow or he simply does not tolerate my repotoir of songs now
What do you think folks

I think we'll win. I predict Telfer and Bilate to come on as subs and turn the game in our favour.

Too much commotion
