Re: DUFC v Celtic - SCQF Sunday 8th Feb 2015, 3.30pm

Well where to start with all that then lol??

Firstly i thought we were much more like it today. That focus and application is precisely what was needed. There was also a gritty determination, akin to the Caley match.

Rado INCREDIBLE today.his best performance for Dundee Utd and tbh we can almost singlehandedly thank him for still being in 2 cups tonight. The Motm by a mile.

Paton's sending off as we all know = ludicrous.I would imagine it will be rescinded this coming Thursday freeing him up for the Final.

Butchers kick out and van Dijk's stamp i would just have gave a booking each and got on with it.i reckon Butcher will be cited this week though and will probably miss the next two games.Which would be as big a blow as nads missing out tbh.he was immense today and his energy and aggression is just what is needed against them.

Ciftci i reckon will also be cited and sadly after booting Brown (who was also lucky not to be sent off after about a dozen infringements) in the dish. And sadly i don't think he will have a leg to stand on this time.Top player but his indiscipline is becoming such a frustration for me.

Dixon sending off very harsh.Yes it's a stonewall penalty, but the ball is struck at him at 60mph and he clearly turns away and raises his arm up to protect his face.I hope Utd appeal it.I'm loathe to criticise anyone after drawing with 9 men but i was again a bitty dissapointed with his performance tbh.No really happening for him yet.

As Hunted said above Connolly should start again. His trickery and close control really caused them problems. His penalty was 'simulation' rather than an out+out dive imo.

My best outfield player for us was McGowan i thought he had a great game and was very calm+assured at RB.

Final thought on Celtic was that they looked a tired team imo towards the end even with a man advantage the whole 2nd half.Without Commons (and Zig+Zag ) i thought they looked lacklustre and pretty much resorted to shelling a high ball into our box time after time.

If we can somehow keep 11 on the park next Sunday we have a chance Lads.

Nope. Only miss the next game in different competitions if its violent conduct.

I don't think we should contest Paton's tbh

Lol

Re Dixon incident

In the laws of the game handball has to be deliberate to be a foul.

Why do referees not know this?

Re: DUFC v Celtic - SCQF Sunday 8th Feb 2015, 3.30pm

well what a performance.. all we wanted was the players to stand up and be counted yesterday and they did.
took the game to them and ha them on the back foot. Sadly a man down fucked is in the end imo mostly noticed when butche is through in the 2nd half but he was unlucky under pressure.

Happy as fuck we the performance and fight

In the old days an indirect free kick may have been awarded for this incident.
When was the last time we saw this decision
