    Could  be a coincidence, but I'm wondering if the sprinklers could be to blame - either the installation or the drenchings. Haven't seen them used much lately.

    agree mate, no sure about watering a pitch constantly...adds to it cutting up to fuck imho

    There was a couple of problems with the new sprinkler system and the pitch never had enough time to get ready for new season.
