I said after the last game of ours reffed by him we should have filed a complaint. I wonder if we did.

Re: DUFC V Aberdeen - Saturday 24th October

New on here, so hello all. Much the same as that for me, Tait has to start. I'd like to see Sapsford get a proper run of games up front though. I think there's a really good player in there if we can get his confidence up. I'll take a 2-1 if we get an even game out of the ref.

Torrential rain forecast Friday and Saturday. Hopefully no issues with the pitch this season

I hated the way McInnes had his teams playing and I hate the anti football style that Robinson uses. Really hope we can send them home empty handed.

Re: DUFC V Aberdeen - Saturday 24th October

Apparently Mehdi Merghem still hasn't trained this week and won't feature at the weekend. Absolutely unbelievable how long our injured players take to recover. We always hear it's not a bad injury and yet the same players are often out for several weeks. That's 7 weeks now since Merghem got injured at Motherwell.

Lachlan Rose apparently a big doubt also as he too hasn't trained after picking up an ankle injury.

A pity because I would have started him on Saturday. Goodwin saying it 'isn't too bad', so we'll probably not see him now till 2027.🙄

Normally I would have said maybe a chance for Leiper and Sassetti to make the bench, but the Academy team is playing on Friday night which rules that out.

Feels like we are down to the bare bones up front all ready.

We can't keep going on like this all season. Or it will end up another season that passes us by and doesn't deliver.

Need two forwards in January.

Re: DUFC V Aberdeen - Saturday 24th October

Cheers redford, good to be on here. Here's hoping the rain holds off enough for a proper game, and we send them up the road with nothing.

Re: DUFC V Aberdeen - Saturday 24th October

Cheers Tek, appreciate the welcome. A 2-1 would do me fine, especially if the rain turns it into a scrap.

Re: DUFC V Aberdeen - Saturday 24th October

With the torrential rain forecast, i fear the game is in doubt. Looks like a solid 12 hours of rain from Friday morning until kick off.

Fingers crossed our new drainage system does the business.

Re: DUFC V Aberdeen - Saturday 24th October

You'd think the club would be proactive and put covers down or whatever else they can do.

You would hope so.

According to the Met Office the rain stops in Dundee about 11PM Friday night until about 10/11am on Saturday, then starts up again and looks heavy around kick off time.

That is a good 12 hours the covers can come off and hopefully the wind helps dry out any underlying moisture.

First big test of the new pitch and drainage system.

Could be a late/early one for the young groundsman.

Re: DUFC V Aberdeen - Saturday 24th October

The rain hasn’t been too bad in the city so game should be fine.

Robinson in the press saying several players have been hit with a virus this week. Some have returned some still going down.

Oh well never mind

JG just pointed out that Aberdeen have one of the biggest squads in the league. It won’t have any effect on the game,

I think that’s near 20 years we’ve been going on about injuries!! Since the Sandaza days ffs.

I’ve criticised his work rate but i think I’d still rather Sapsford up front today than Metsoko. Won’t happen i don’t think though.

Sapsford gets the nod in place of Metsoko. Otherwise unchanged.

Some strike from Sapsford. He needed that.

Edit: Ugh, nevermind.

Edit again: Yas.
