For the players 3 weeks is a long time without a match at this time of year.
For the fans it's just another international break frustration.

Anyway, the players are heading to Portugal next week which should work nicely, allowing them to be back in Scotland for pre match preparation for the next league game.

Apparently there will be at least one competitive match against a Dutch side over there.

Not sure we'll be able to cobble together much of a team for the friendly. Seven players away on International duties.

And i think Goodwin may keep lads like Cohen Leiper amd Lorenzo Sassetti in Scotland as the B Team are playing twice this week in the Challenge Cup.

Ciubotaro is definitely called up to Romania's U21 team.

Reports in Iraq say Naamo has agreed to join their U23 camp. Though they also say United were keen to keep him at home, perhaps a compromise has been reached and he will be with Iraq this week and join United in Portugal next week.

I think we'll have enough players in Portugal to give any Dutch team a serious hammering. Unless their club name begins with A 😀

It would seem reports of Naamo going with Iraq U23 are wide of the mark.

The club have actually produced a very helpful run down of each game each player will feature in and what time and date they will be getting played.

Goodwin in the papers today saying we hope to have two friendlies lined up during the break with one definitely abroad.

Kevin Ciubotaru scores for Romania U21's in 3-0 win in Cyprus.

And Jesse Randall scored for NZ

Pan C was on the bench for GB but didn't get minutes.

Pretty concerning that Michael Forbes wasn't on the 12 man Northern Ireland bench.

Please tell me he's not gotten injured on duty.

Not injured. Northen Ireland named a 28 man squad for their upcoming games. Hopefully will see some action in one of the other fixtures.

Watched their second half. Some game. Those players run through brick walls for O'Neill and that shirt.
One of their first choice CB's Dan Ballard has done his hamstring so it might be that Forbes will make a match day squad.
