Sapsford isn't the answer through the middle and whilst Rose might not be either, i'd rather Rose played there, if nothing else he's a pest, gives defenders no time to settle.

In this league the first goal is massively important, in every game, despite results, we've knocked it about well in spells, but have no end product. I simply can't believe we have/or looks like we've gambled on a guy coming from a pub league on the other side of the world, and a guy who will come and go before any of us have learnt to spell his full name.

What a fucking mess it could be, we sign Tait, but don't play him in his right position, we've now got Cameron a very tidy, forward thinking, clever football, who the fuck is he gonna pass it to, himself?

Max Watters was pish, maybe never recovered from the early injury, but his goals v Rapid and Falkirk were the type a centre forward scores, just good movement/anticipation and at least he looked like a centre forward, a strong, bustling lad. We've got two guys who are built like Marathon runners.

Maybe we can't afford to buy players from these shores, maybe it's all about where we shop for value for money, but whilst it may be cheaper, it might well be the most expensive mistake we make.

Still think we're winning 3-0 on Saturday though.

Was on the edge of signing for Blackburn but they couldn't get a deal over the line before the deadline. Half-decent pedigree and played in all of Iraq's WC games, starting two of them. Sounds like a good signing if it happens.

Yes, it sounds like a good move on paper but how many times do these moves fail. Look at the winger from Utrecht that went to Aberdeen, good player but didn’t work then went to Bologna in the Serie A and is playing weekly.

Could be a good signing, but I’m really concerned about the lack of experience in the team. It was our biggest issue last season, which was acknowledged by Goodwin, and yet instead of addressing it, we’ve compounded the issue this summer with our outgoings and incomings.

Our in game management is shocking at times, has been since the likes of Gallagher, Holt and Docherty left, and it was there for all to see last night again. A lot of that comes from the manager and coaching staff, but it also massively comes from the players on the pitch.

We’ve gotten the transfer window badly wrong for the second summer in a row. I’ve no doubt about that.

I agree with this.  Assuming Ferry stays, Iqbal comes in and someone finds their shooting boots/we bring in a better centre forward this afternoon.

I don't really see the need for another midfielder.

Certainly if we only sign Iqbal today and pay a fee for him then I just find it bewildering.

Not signing a Striker in particular will see us in relegation trouble. Unless our intention is to sign one who currently doesn't have a club 🤔

There's a big difference between quantity over quality.  Yes, we have enough players.  I just don't think we have, in some cases, the right players.

We're lacking in physicality, in experience and in attitude, IMO.

I really want it to work out for them, but I don't see the Aussie's working out.  These days, Sapsford looks like its a chore to be here.  Rawlins looks horse shit and Rose can run about a lot and unsettle defenders, but I can't see him scoring much.  I want them all to prove me wrong.

Randall looks like he's in a similar place to Sapsford.  Neither of them look like they're enjoying their football.

We have no real experienced old heads in the team that can mange the team on the pitch effectively.  When you're 3-0 down, a bunch of 23 year olds with 20-40 games of a decent level of first team experience aren't the types of player to pull you out the shite.

Yoro, Farrugia, Metsoko, Naamo, Camara and Bennie all have a lot to prove to the support.  We need them to perform week in week out, but they are only showing the occasion glimpse of what they can do.  That's simply not enough

Too much focus has been placed on buying players who have a resale value.  We really need an Andy Webster type that can play to a high standard and lead the team on the pitch.  Our club captain is struggling to get into the match day squad and he should be that kind of player and should be forcing his way into the team week in, week out.

Currently, the only out field players that I think that are good enough for United are

Walton
Ferry
Esselink
Forbes
Tait
Agyei

and maybe
Merghem
Iovu

The others haven't had a chance to prove themselves properly yet.

I think selling Sevelj is a mistake.
