Worth noting that the Belgian transfer deadline is tomorrow

English deadline is Tuesday

Which means if Ferry isn’t away to Anderlecht or English championship by Tuesday night then the road is clear for Celtic to come in with a pathetic offer before Scottish deadline of Thursday at 5pm.

Brace yourselves…

I was talking shite, Belgian transfer deadline is Thursday.  If he’s leaving, then anywhere but Celtic will do me tbh.

With Sevelj and Eskesen away, we're a midfielder down.

Surprised we never hijacked the fun’s move for Joe Wright. Goodwin tried hard to get him last summer but he chose Bradford instead.

Campbell been at Hibs a while. Can't say I've ever noticed him much.

Good luck Vicko. Held things together on several occasions.

🟠⚫️Dundee United are not in active talks with any clubs for Will Ferry.
💰If United was to sell in this window it would take a significant seven-figure bid.
🧡They feel there would be more value in keeping him for the season than accepting a lowball offer.🟠⚫️

Stay off the fucking gear.

Antony Ralston, not one person in Scotland rates the guy, especially the fans who watch him most weeks.

It's no coincidence that Celtics worst run in well over a generation is the only time Ralston has had a run in the team.

Lots of names getting thrown about today. Let's argue when we sign one of them!

But would say as a principle I'm not wanting to see loans from any club in lieu of cash.

Mate just messaged me.... what odds would you get on Lyall Cameron scoring the first goal in the next Derby - for United.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Heard the rumours about both Lyall Cameron and Josh Campbell earlier. Both good players but i am very surprised we are in the market for another attacking midfielder given we've just signed Yoro and we could also play Tait further forward (his best position).

Not that i'm against us signing good players, but if we only have the budget for 2 or 3 more then i would say an attacking midfielder is the position we least need to upgrade on or strengthen.

Scored a hat-trick in the game that got Goodwin the sack for Aberdeen (the 6-0 defeat at Easter Road).

Maybe, a player that Jim has never forgotten and wanted in his team since.

I'd be surprised if we get him tbh.

He started and scored for Hibs at Ibrox just 2 or 3 weeks back.

It's a very strange one because when Tait was announced everyone assumed he would play advanced in the midfield 3, looking to create for the forwards.
In fact the opposite has happened.

Yip,

It's not his game at all.

Get him further forward and lets see what he can do (as he did against Spartans).

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

We have lost 2 midfielders in a week, one of whom would have played every week, so it’s reasonable we are looking to replace at least one. Camara, when you consider him over his time at United has been poor despite a good start. Be happy to get rid and bring in 2 guys that have plenty of experience in Scotland and would improve us.

Our RB’s are not convincing anyone. Ralston was very good when we had him. If we could get him on loan it would be a great bit of business.  Folk see him playing against the best in the world in world cups and champions league and think he is pish. I think he weakens Scotland when compared to Hickey. I never watch domestic Celtic games. I would guess he is comfortably one of the better right backs in the country at our level.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

I think we need two midfielders whilst keeping Pan, to take us to 6 players for 3 positions which I feel is essential. Get one defensive and one more attacking/box-to-box.

As for Ralston, whilst he'd probably be an upgrade on what we have, his wages would be way out of our league. Personally I don't think he is enough of an improvement on what we have to be worth it. He was good on loan all those years back but seems to be one of those players that has gotten poorer with age. Constantly brain farts and looks like he is towing a caravan at times.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

You'd hope that with us making noises about Ferry not going unless our valuation is matched, the club just didn't drop their knickers at the Sevelj offer without a plan in place.

But, it is United.

If I was a manager and key players were sold without replacing, was under a bit of pressure, I'd be considering if any recent medical issues might make me rethink my position.
