Get the useless fraud out
We only won 12 league games in 21/22 and finished 4th so that statement is hardly some kind of damning indictment of his performance. But you keep obsessing over whatever agenda you have going.
Mind that time we languished in the Championship for 4 seasons? What would you have given during that time for a 4th and 7th place finish in the Premiership? I know I would have bitten your hand off for it.
Those 4th and 7th place finishes by the way were our 1st and 3rd best performing seasons of the last ten. So a bit of perspective is needed.
Also if you read my post you'll see I said that if the next 3 matches don't go well then he'll likely be in bother. But you are clearly obsessed with being one of the people who have put their stake in the ground and called for him to go nice and early on so when he does go you can boast about wanting him out for ages while the rest of the happy clappers tried to be a bit more balanced and see things realistically. Imagine that eh.
Another one so traumatized by the last decade following United that you’ll accept utter drivel every week because it’s not as bad as under Csaba or Mixu.
Wild.
It's all relative. Compare it to the 80s and it's been utter drivel for nearly 40 years. Personally if I have to watch drivel (and that's pretty much guaranteed these days in Scottish football) then I'd rather it was top league drivel than Championship drivel. However, if you seriously aspire to not watching drivel then you probably need to go an support an English Prem team and even then you still need to choose relatively wisely.

Wait, why do I need to answer to the criticism? I'm not here to defend him, I'm just giving my opinion. My opinion is that you are being a bit dramatic with the posts about him. I'm not going to say he shouldn't be sacked no matter what, I just think that being of the opinion that he HAS to go is wrong (at the moment).
I've said twice now that if we don't improve over these next 3 games then he'll be in bother. And I would say that he should go if we ended up with 3 defeats, for sure. Not sure what else you want me to say? I don't give a fuck about being on a specific side of loving or hating him. He's an average manager. Always has been, but he's over performed in one season for us and underperformed in another. We've started badly this season and he is under pressure. That's my opinion and it's as basic as that. It's also surely balanced to say things like new players might need a bit of time to bed in?
It doesn't have to be "I love him and want to stay forever" or "he's a fuckin fraud get him out" - nothing wrong with not being welded to one of those. I'm being realistic.
When we were in the championship, half way through the season I said that even if we do go up, I don't think he should stay in charge as I thought he'd struggle. He shut me up by finishing 4th the next season. Never going to complain about a 4th place finish no matter how it comes about. Last season was bad defensively and we threw away too many leads. But we also had some good performances that merited another season for him, in my opinion.
Now this season has started badly, and if it keeps going, he'll be away. And I won't have a problem with it.
Also I don't see the problem with referencing previous examples but clearly you don't like that so I'll stop now.
I think we are just going to go round and round in circles.
The historic examples you gave don't change a thing for me, we are in the here and now and his style, his arrogance and his attitude don't wash.
You think he has earned another 3 games, I absolutely don't and that will be that.
If you get your wish of 3 games and we get 3 defeats then he is relived of his duties, let me assure you I won't be claiming "I told you so" I'll be asking why it took until then to act

First question i want answered is why aren’t we bidding on a striker or a right sided centre back, we desperately need them.
Because Conway11 mentioned 10 years, I’ll ask a Friday question.
If you could take 2 players from the last 10 years at United to put in this current 11 (4-3-3), who you going for?

1. Shankland
I am tied between Fuchs and Butcher for the second.

Butcher and VAR would be a red card massacre.
Offline

Shankland, would score goals the way we're playing.
A toss up between Mulgrew, Edwards, Gallagher or Holt for the second slot.
Obviously the Courts/Mellon version of the first two, not the Ross/Fox/Goodwin versions

.It was our 3rd bid yesterday, so you would have to imagine was a good bit beyond that amount for their guy who's Captain most weeks.
If our bids have been called embarrassing, its entirely feasible that we have tried to low ball them with all three bids. I wouldn't be surprised if we started with a £50k bid or so. We don't have cash to splash, that much is blatantly obvious, so I doubt we'll be offering much more than £100k tops with our 3rd bid.
We'll have to agree to disagree MM.
Even i don't think United would be as amateurish to bid those paltry amounts and expect to get a positive answer.

It's a Striker we really need above any other position.
Alan Temple mentioned on his podcast yesterday that United have had something wild like 98 touches in the opposition box in Premiership games so far this season. And we only have one (rather lucky) goal to show for that.
Imagine having a forward who could have taken even 2 or 3 of those passes and convert them into goals. It makes all the difference.
With that in mind the two players i would take would be Lawrence Shankland and Amar Fatah.

That said, it does worry me that the club sees a solution to its problems in Brad Spencer. I understood Tait as he's got years to go, but Brad Spencer seems like the Ross Docherty gamble all over again. I can only assume that we are losing more midfielders and Spencer is seen as plugging a gap.
I'd agree that the player himself is likely to have a big say in this still. If we have approached the club with several offers but don't know whether the player is up for it then we'd be more naive than even I think we are already.
The Ross Docherty gamble worked though. We won a lot of games that we wouldn’t have if he wasn’t in the team, particularly in the Championship.

Yeah that's a fair point. He didn't play enough though. Maybe Spencer is fitter too.

I assume we think there's a good chance of Pan Camara getting to fuck in this window?

I'd normally be of this opinion also.
However, his Manager literally spoke with him last week to presumably tell him not to air his dirty laundry in public.
He's totally ignored that advice, which considering Goodwin is currently in Hospital is totally disrespectful and really quite selfish tbh. It's a headache he really doesn't need just now. Everyone in the group should be rallying, not this shit.

Exactly this. If he's uploading 'highlight' reels of himself online and trying to engineer a move, I can't imagine we'll stand in his way.
Edit: For the guy asking what he has done. He put up a stroppy Instagram post about "chapters needing to end so new ones can begin" with a photo of a United top because he wasn't getting game time. Goodwin was asked about it last week and said they'd had words. Now he appears to be fighting with Dundee fans in his social media DMs ... which, if memory serves, he also did the last time we lost a derby at Tannadice.

With latest rumours of another bid for Falrkirk lad, it seems like we are trying to unsettle him. It has not been united’s way to conduct transfers publicly for quite a while.
Is he was a similar player and leader to Docherty but less injury prone I would be fine with us paying 100k for him. But 3 or 4 positions in much more urgent need of cover than CM.

Going by the courier tweet, sounds like Brad Spencer’s told falkirk he wants to speak to United.
