We must also go back in for Amar Fatah. He's still at Troyes and from what i can see not featuring. Not even on their bench yesterday.

Move Heaven and Earth to get him back at Tannadice.

This 100%

In a heartbeat. What a player.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

I don't think the club know what they are doing.

They talk about adopting a trading model, but do they realise that the main priority of running a football club is to try and win games and trophies?

It seems that all the management want to do is bring in players and move them on for a profit, but at what cost to the club itself?

Recently, there have been rumours about Esselink, Agyei, Ferry, Iovu, Sapsford and now Eskesen being sold.  I get that these are all currently rumours, apart from Ferry, but if some of these are true, it will leave us short of cover for some positions.

Instead of the players mentioned above, could we not have rumours about Miller Thompson, Metsoko, Jim Goodwin and Mark Ogren being sought after by other clubs?

Official, another failed signing from Laurel and Hardy.

Enough is enough.

Eskesen off confirmed, loan deal with an obligation to buy.

A least we won't have to listen to people pretending he's a player now.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Eskessen was a very limited player. Too lightweight for the Scottish game.
Hopefully he’s not the only one to leave this week

To Mark Ogren, the club was an investment.

For him, it is a “failed investment”

He needs to pay down as much debt as he can before attempting to exit. The player trading model is probably a better idea than the Asgharian model of developing an endless succession of young players and selling them to EPL clubs. Either way Ogren needs to recoup as much money as he can to pay down his debt.

The fact much of this was his own fault, is irrelevant. This is what happens when fans don’t own clubs. In my opinion, we, the fans need to come up with a proposal to buy Ogren out at a market value. Everything else is merely talk

According to the accounts, he’s still owed back around £7m in loans to the club. Gonna be a while till we pay that off, so he ain’t going anywhere soon.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Ogren's delusional if he thinks he's going to get all that cash back.

On a slight tangent, what happened to his son?  Was he not the one who pushed his dad to buy a football club?  He seems to have disappeared into obscurity these days.  I take it he grew bored of their wee pet project.

He might get it back at some point, like Ferry will knock another couple million off that figure, but it’s gonna seriously be to the detriment of us as fans watching our club just drifting aimlessly while he gets his money back.

I’ve no idea what the deal is with the son, he doesn’t seem to come over with him now. On the face of it, it does seem like Daddy bought him this new shiny toy, he got bored of it, and now Daddy’s left to look after the toy while the son’s moved on to something else.

Brad Spencer would be a great signing if we can pull it off, he’s not a dis-similar player to Ross Docherty. Bin Camara and sign him. I can think of 3 other positions I’d place higher on the priority list though (ST, CB, RB)

Saying that, he’d be playing under Goodwin so will probably turn to shite.

Surprised we’ve went in for another midfielder unless there are more exits planned?

Be a great signing for when Goodwin eventually gets sacked and we replace him with mcglynn

Ferry will likely go. Wouldn’t be surprised if someone comes in for Iurie either, there’s interest there and he isn’t playing now. I’d imagine we’ll let Camara go if he can sort something elsewhere too.

Bring in an experienced CB and a physical striker. I’ve seen enough of Metsoko already to know he’s every bit as bad as Watters, Moller and VDS, possibly even worse if I’m being honest.

Yeah I think we might be busy over next week.

Experience needed badly

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Could simply be we're offering most of the money for Spencer, that we're guaranteed for Eskesen.

If Ferry goes, Ciobotaru is his replacement, Naamo will cover both sides, Sevelj covers right.

He didn’t cover himself in glory at their second but Walton’s fine.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

Lyall Cameron’s been told he’s free to leave Rangers. We can’t really overload the midfield any more if Spencer comes in, but I’d have much rather had a boyhood Arab like Cameron come in than Yoro who’ll either fail, or go back to Turkey if he ends up doing well.

John Souttar’s also been told he can go, but there’s no danger he’s coming back here, he’s still got one more decent contract in him down south.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

If we are after Spencer that must mean we are about to offload Agyei. Which if true is bitterly disappointing and Spencer is a downgrade on him.

I don't think it would be a Camara replacement as we won't receive a fee for him (though i do think his card is marked now and he will go).

Our approach to recruitment is looking a bit scattergun now late in the window.

The recruitment hasn't worked this Summer and this seems a desperate last throw of the dice from Goodwin.

Very much feels like a signing to facilitate Tait (who has been very poor so far) and try and get the best out of him attacking wise (which is strange given we've just signed a No.10).

Falkirk fans seem to think there's no way we can afford the fee fwiw.

He has 2 years left of his contract (with another year option).

Surely we ain't paying 750k for a 30 year old, who lets be honest is a bit of a journeyman (one season played in the Premiership). The Ross Docherty comparison is a good one in that regard.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 26/27

If he's like Ross Docherty, but can stay fit he'd be an asset.

I think there must be a few irons in fires/fingers in pies for ins and outs because as has been said above, this is one of the positions we seem to be ok in.

Tait apparently does his best work further forward, so it would make sense to work around that, Yoro seems to be what we thought we were getting from Eskesen, so that's like for like there, a option or two.

This might sound daft, but for me as good as he's been in his time here, we rely far too much on Ferry, we need someone with what he brings to the team, to be playing further forward, the energy, drive, the delivery and passion.

Almost a bit like when Barry Robson left, we played too much through him, if he had an off day, it never clicked, then we were out of ideas, look at how much of our play 2nd half in particular on Saturday was Ferry trying to find that cross, it's not the first time and it becomes one dimensional.

Spencer's old man, will have had his ear at every turn, we're not paying or trying to pay anywhere near what those Falkirk fans are saying, he may well have a release amount, and we're chancing our arm, before deciding whether to meet it?

Anyway, as poor as we think some of the recruitment has been, and with unrest over the manager/owner it's comforting to a degree that we've got money to pay and if we've realised quickly certain things aren't working, we're moving fast to sort them.

I'd just rather we spent the money on an out and out Striker with a proven record.

I think that's what will make or break our season. Not (with respect) a player like Brad Spencer.
