Stephen O'Donnell

Thistle accepted offer from blackpool although he has rejected the contract from them ive just read on a facebook page.

I thought we had him on a pre contract?

Re: Stephen O'Donnell

We do.

We just haven't went public on it.

He'll be at Tannadice in the Summer and i'm guessing McGowan will possibly play Centre Half in the longterm.

Re: Stephen O'Donnell

If we've signed a pre-contract why would Thistle accept an offer?

And if they did why would he listen to that offer?

I can't see either of those things happening if we had a pre contract with him, YET.

Maybe this is the boot up the arse for United to sort it, or maybe we don't need him now we've got McGowan?

This is why Jackie didn't follow it up.

Re: Stephen O'Donnell

Think the boy from Hibs is a LB?

After letting Watson, Wilson and most probably Dillon go we need two right backs, McGowan is one and this lad looks like he could be the answer, don't think we'll see him until the summer though.

Transfer window sparks into life from today though.

Re: Stephen O'Donnell

I see Partick have fixed up another right back today. Doesn't mean O'Donnell is coming to us but looks likely he's leaving this weekend.

Hope Dillo isn't away in the Summer, his versatility, that stopped him cementing a place, could make him quite invaluable now.

Me too bugs, there should always be room for an honest hard working professional gentleman like Dillon, very much a rarity in the modern World

Absolutely, and I think any extension would be totally on merit.

Re: Stephen O'Donnell

Stephen O' Donnell signs a 2 year deal for Luton Town. Puts that one to bed then.
Thistle must be a little pissed that he rejected a £100,000 move to Blackpool in January albeit they may not have got it in a hurry from the Oysten family, most likely put O'Donnell off too

Re: Stephen O'Donnell

We don't really need him anyway.

Left Back is a weak area though.

Re: Stephen O'Donnell

Dissapointing that decent young talent would rather go to League 2 than the Scottish premiership.... though he maybe didn't have any decent offers up here?

I'd have taken him - guess he could have been pushed right mid or right back
