Re: Pre season

Slightly off topic, but club's social media presence has taken a dive. They put up a seven-minute video of guys running about with a soundtrack of wind.

I'm also a wee bit disappointed that this isn't the year I finally get to go to Brechin, but I'm eyeing up Stirling and Montrose.

Currently I think it’s

Jim Goodwin should be sacked
Ross Goodwin needs to go
Close the academy
The grounds man needs to be sacked
The media team are hopeless
I’ve probably missed some others
Apart from that your a happy clapper.

Still living rent free in your head , i see (pun not intended).

You are aware this is just a Football Forum and not real life, i hope?

The content is poor from what previous pre season content they put out. Have we replaced Yannis yet?

Re: Pre season

I personally could not care less about friendlies against English teams etc at Tannadice, lets face it, its a kick-about to get fitness in the legs.  There will be what?  3, maybe 4 thousand at Dundee's game with Everton.  I'd rather go to Brechin for the day.  In fact, the last two years I've went to the Brechin games but gave the Oldham and Luton games at Tannadice a swerve.

Those games against Barca are now 18 and 19 years ago now, the way these billionaire clubs now exist means the likelihood of getting a game against them is very remote, that's not United's fault.

I fear we have and that's the problem!

Re: Pre season

Is it too much to ask for the opportunity to attend a local-ish pre-season friendly so we can write the team off and slate new signings before they've even kicked a ball competitively?

Poor from the club.

Re: Pre season

Goodwin saying we are taking the long international break to attend a training camp, location yet to be decided. Three weak break between games in September and October.

Re: Pre season

Played a back four today according to someone that was there on Arabs anonymous facebook group.

Sounds like Agyei was a standout and Charlie Dewar impressed when he came on.

Do we know starting line up?  Assume no Ferry or Eskesen?  Is Farrugia fit?

Re: Pre season

Heard only Walton and Rawlins of the new signings played.

Heard also that Charlie Dewar stood-out. Hopefully get to see a wee bit of him in the League Cup games.

Re: Pre season

The clubs comms are pretty poor, eh.

5 posts about what is, with respect to the lad, a back up goalkeeper signing and 1 post about our first pre-season match with new players and others stepping up.

Line up, goal scorers and a few lines would not hurt, albeit, sure they dont want to give away what they are training on

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Not even an interview with Goodwin on official channels during pre season isn’t great.

Closes door games at St Andrews tend to be around 12-1.

Has the build of a young player anyway, nobody’s shouted his name yet.
