Like many others haven't watched it in 20-25 years. And was only a casual watcher even then i.e. it was on in the background when my Missus watched it.
But have seen many clips on social media in the last few days of how they concluded the storyline of a dementia sufferer (Nigel Bates) and i have to say i have been blown away with how they've handled it.
Beautifully written, terrific acting and some great cinematography (can't believe i'm saying all that). This scene was absolutely perfect.
Most of all they handled the final moments of someone's life and the grieved absolutely brilliantly and with the respect it deserved.
Steve McFadden (Phil Mitchell) is a terrific and vastly underrated British actor.

She watches it religiously so I dip in and out. Agree, this episode was really well done and you had to be pretty hard of heart not to be moved to tears.
