We have all witnessed the increasingly incoherent speeches from Trump and now his disregard for the separation of powers, rule of law and respect of sovereignty in regard to Venezuela and now Greenland.
People use terms like “narcissistic” “insane” “dictator” but is it not something much more simple - Frontotemporal dementia (FTD)? About 18 months ago, I saw him using both hand to pick up a glass of water. Then, just before he was elected he was interviewed by a woman from the Association of Black Journalists. During this interview the picked up his interviewer’s glass of water which was a metre away from his.
Another classic symptom of FTD is a loss of inhibitions. This can take the form of language or behaviour.
How far does this go until his Cabinet invokes the 25th Amendment? It would require a majority of the Cabinet. Almost certainly Trump would not voluntarily agree to it, so it would need to be presented to him. What bothers me is that his Cabinet are a bunch of unqualified flunkies, many of whom are hardliners.
Let’s be clear, this is not a case of a forgetful elderly man like Biden who just retreated from public view. This is a crisis for everyone.

Aye you make a good point re Biden.
Just imagine if the way Trump behaves - rambles incoherently, changes his mind every two minutes on policy, falls asleep during meetings, looks like death warmed up and is clearly having health issues - was Biden. Imagine the uproar his MAGA cult would be in?
When he finally dies, his cult will tear itself apart.

I doubt his Cabinet would have the guts to use the 25th amendment to remove him from office. Best hope is he's impeached and it goes through this time. You'd need 20 Republican Senators to vote for it though. Only 7 did last time. The problem is many of the Republicans who are non-MAGA people are genuinely in fear of their lives if they do anything to upset Trump and his cult.
