Re: Terrible Film sequels

That was on during the hols. The wee lass liked it.

If its number 2's then, 22 Jump Street: turned it off after 35 mins. Utter shite.

The last Die Hard film is the worst film I've ever seen though. Turned off after an hour.

Grease 2. Goal 2.

Too much commotion

Re: Terrible Film sequels

Jaws 3D and Jaws The Revenge.

Jaws 3D was originally going to be a spoof like Airplane! It was going to be called Jaws 3 People 0, the producers got talked out of it and jumped on the first 3D boom/bandwagon instead.

Jaws The Revenge just felt like a badly made TV movie. Michael Caine won an best supporting actor Oscar for Hannah and her Sisters but couldn't attend the ceremony because he was filming this piece of shit.

Re: Terrible Film sequels

Star Wars 1,2,3  nowhere near the first three although they were prequels so no sure if they count!

American Pie 2,3,4 or however many they made

Saw 2+

Scream 2+

Re: Terrible Film sequels

The Star wars prequels get a bad rep, unfairly IMO.

Episode 1 was a bit slow but in a six part story you need to build the foundations.

Attack of the clones & Revenge of the sith were both excellent and bang on form.

I have to agree 100% on that. Especially Revenge of the Sith. First 20 minutes were some of the best action in any Star Wars films. The Phantom Menace had the best lightsaber battle in all the films and Attack of the Clones had Yoda fighting.

It is what it is, and as I've said before the prequels weren't made for adults who grew up on the original trilogy, it was for the new generation of kids, and how many kids do you know that loves them films, they are daft about them.

The reason the new film looks so good is because it seems to have taken into consideration the older audience who grew up with the originals.

You may well be correct, it was thon floppy eared thing that killed it for me in the first film! Don't think I have watched them again since they came out. Maybe time to give them another try prior to the new one in December.
