Re: St Mirren v United

That was boring as fuck. Pish performance from United against a nervous side.  I don't understand the regular changes, I never have and I don't think I ever will.

Only Dillon and Armstrong get pass marks from me, Telfer too from the subs.

Rado, Townsend and Fojut were borderline acceptable.

Rankin, Ciftci, GMS, Paton, Watson and Erskine were pish.

Struggling to pick our best XI, I think this is it but there are three or four boys there I'd prefer to replace with new signings.

Rado
Dillon
Fojut
Morris
Townsend
Butcher
Telfer
Connolly
Armstrong
Dow
Ciftci

Re: St Mirren v United

Honestly a pretty pathetic performance, Armstrong, Dillon did well, but that was really it.

Glad I'm not alone in questioning Fojut, all I've heard all season is how he wins everything and is some sort of big polish hard nut who'll scare everyone he faces.  Nothing could be further from the truth, can't pass, tacklings ropey, he's now starting to wonder out of position and not for the first time he barely won a header.  Can't wait for Souttar to be back.

Re: St Mirren v United

I wouldn't renew Dillon's contract tbh. I love Sean but I think it's time to move on.

watson - i take back a future CH..absolutley lost
Fojut - needs to play alongside morris
townsend - decent
paton - no good
rankin - finished
GMS - poor as fuck
Armstrong - still no doing enough bar looking good in breaks
Erskine - pish
shifty - pish

telfer- done more in 20 mins than the rest of them

Re: St Mirren v United

That was poor. Only Dillion, Townsend and Armstrong get notbale mentions tbh. Why so many changes, 1 or 2 yes but not 4?!

Re: St Mirren v United

Not gonna mince my words...pathetic.

Furious with that. Not just because we were outplayed but worse than that for me we were outfought.

We deserved nothing from that and if St.Mirren had anything upfront they would have won that 3,4 or 5 -1.

ONE shot at goal all night (our goal) and our 'superstars' (Nads,GMS inparticualr) threw in the towel long before the end.Infact Nads done almost nothing all night. He frustrates the life outta me tbh.

Finally,Jackie is pissing me aff.Trying to be far too clever for his own good.We are not fucking Chelsea. We don't have 25 internationalists that we can rotate when required.

You play the team on form, the team that won us the last game, and the players who stood out.Maybe one change if required. It's not fucking rocket science.

I could even understand 4 changes if it was our 3rd game in a week or something but our last game was 9 days ago beh christ.

Unleash the kids like Spittal,Telfer,Connolly and Butcher who have been hungry as fuck in recent weeks and have played well.

Lazy and fearful decision to bring back Erskine,Rankin,Watson and Paton and get bogged down in a battle with them.

Can forget 2nd..the team don't have the heart.

And breathe.

A defence which hasn't kept a clean sheet since start of Nov. He's played in most if not all games. He's captain. Is it not his job to organise the defence? His passing was shocking tonight. Like I said, I love Dillon great servant. He is competent in a number of positions but doesn't excell in any of them. He's probably one of the top earners at the club. We could probably get another right back who is cheaper and better.

No room for sentiment for me. Has been part of a soft as fuck United defence for a good few years. TIme to move on methinks

boy mentioned to him that shifty nearly equalised..jmac looking biling and said..'he should have scored...he had..one of those nights' ... or something like that, and looked away...think they were argueing during the first half

Really hope he was concussed after the kick in the pus, otherwise that was shocking.

Re: St Mirren v United

I cannot believe that we gave Paton an extension. I've always thought he was limited but seeing boys like Butcher, who is far from a world beater, and Telfer come in and do well have shown Paton up for what he really is.

A haddy thug

He's getting the blame for the whole of the defence?

For me, he's never let us down even when played out of position, and that's most of the time.

Re: St Mirren v United

Totally agree about Fojut, either he's injured or he is just stinking as some of the body positions he gets into beggars belief. Off balance wild swings at the ball! As I said at half time soft as shite at the back. If Armstrong goes we desperately need to splash some serious cash on a couple of centre backs who can actually defend.

Pleasantly surprised with his last appearance at CB when he strolled through, but FS that was shocking tonight playing against a player at his side rather than in front.

Dillon has been ok this season. I just think if we're to move on as a club we need to move him on. Sometimes clubs just have to do this. It feels like its time to me.

Re: St Mirren v United

I'd like Dillon to stay as a squad player, a great subby who can play every position in defence and holding midfield.

I do agree that the defence is shocking though, it's what's held us back for nearly three seasons.

Would like a new back four and a new keeper but right back is paramount, followed by keeper then a centre half.

Jackie trying tae be too clever again.

Anyone who was at Firhill just after New Year would have told you Watson is never a Centre Half.

Jmac got his tactics spot on against Hamilton, why he has to go and fuck about tonight again i just don't know.

The Tinkerman.

He'd be the highest paid squad player.

We could get someone cheaper and possibly better. I'd bet you could get 2 ICT Defenders for what Dillon is on.
