Every Saturday night. Obsessed with it.
When you're a small boy you want to be strong, powerful and in control (everything you're not), so naturally you love the Hulk.
It's only when i've rewatched a few of these in recent years that i've actually realised the brilliance of this show and why so many adults loved it too.
The themes of the show aren't just about strength, anger, rage and loss of control, they're about loss of identity, about loss in terms of death, about grief, about loneliness. The haunting theme tune that always captivated me was actually called 'The Lonely Man', and was always played at the end credits when Dr.David Banner (Bill Bixby) would invariably have to move on to a new town. A nomad.
There is a great scene in one episode (i posted above) where David Banner meets The Hulk in the desert, during a dream sequence. He has to try and control the caged beast within him, the more i think about it there are a lot of metaphors in there that could relate to trying to control anger, addiction, and various mental health afflictions like depression. Dr Banner has to remain calm and control 'the beast within'.
As i say, it was a very well written show.
P.s. Bill Bixby was a wonderful actor, and Lou Ferringo is The Hulk. Always will be.

So many to choose from around that time. The A-Team , Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider, Street Hawk, Airwolf. Then you’ve got kids cartoons that actually had a story and continuation every week: Mysterious Cities of Gold, Ulysses, Dogtanian, Willy Fog. Summer holidays off school with the likes of Red Hand Gang, Why don’t You, Kickstart and the like. I remember a BMX show that was on and only found out recently that the host and one time World Champion Andy Ruffle (who is white) was the co-founder of the MOBO awards!!
I’d probably say Grange Hill for me —the Zammo era(met him on holiday and played 5a side in France!)
special mention to Jossy’s Giants!

Absolutely loved it.
There was an episode i'm sure where they played a team who were basically wearing United strips (Adidas era).
