Missed that, a major plus.

Had also forgotten that one. Major plus and major wage if rumours are true. We could well get 2 or 3 decent players for his wage.

That's some list of departures, both certain & projected.
Can TEK list who it leaves?
It's a huge opportunity to clear the decks.
If we get it right we could be in clover.
Spot-on recruitment & we could be looking at 3rd place AND A F'N CUP RUN.
Exciting times.

Think I counted 4players on the park yesterday who have contracts for next season so really hoping Utd have big plans as I donāt want us to go down the Dundee route with loan players as it didnāt work out well for them in their 2nd season back in the Premier League.

Wishful thinking, but I see Stuart Armstrong isnāt getting offered a new deal at Sheffield Wednesday. Thatās his last couple of clubs where itās not really worked for him now. Iād imagine heās still capable of getting a bigger move on much higher wages but depending on how things pan out, might be worth posing the question. Still only 32.

I actually wouldn't.
His career is on the wind down bigtime.Ā
Would rather remember him as the terrific player he was at United.
And sign younger, hungry, up and coming players who have it all to prove.

Picked him out after the home win when Walton near removed the knee from their Striker.
Big, strong and decent on the ball.

Can cover at left back too. Ross Graham also has a bad injury record this season so would be welcome.

Ryan Strain.

Craig Sibbald.
Trappa.
Van der Sande.
Vicko Sevelj.
I think are the ones left with contracts.

Zander Clark's out of contract at Hearts.
Would anyone take him? Thought he was very good at St.Johnstone.
Still only 32. Quite young for a Goalie.

He signed a new deal with them a while back. Also didnāt want to come and fucked us about for months in the summer before we got relegated.

Signed new contract in January until 2027.

Ross Goodwin (no relation) coming in as head of recruitment from
Plymouth Argyle
Offline
Ferry
Strain
Sevelj
Graham (probably)
Definite starters on the books, anyone else under contract will be squad players/bench warmers at best.
Big job for those in recruitment,

Gonna throw this one out there.
Steven Fletcher.
Out of contract at Wrexham on June 30th. They will now spend millions, he will be released.
Yes, he's 38 but he seems still very fit. Just scored 8 goals in English League One, 1 assist. Started only a few games, but made 40 appearances all in. So, obviously been fit all season.
Wouldn't be offering him the wage he was on previously, obviously, but i think he'd still do a job, either from the bench or starting.
We are losing a whole load of experienced players. Be good to have someone like him in the dressing room. Experienced, fit, strong, athletic, a presence, a bit of aura, a winner.
And before someone says something like 'he got us relegated'. He was very good in that season, particularly playing in such a poor side. Pretty much the only player who was. One of the best Striker's we've had in recent years.
Offline
Please God no.
Fletcher is significantly less mobile than Dalby, Paton and Jort. Doesn't score many, and would be well on the way to 40 by the end of next season. There are positions where you can get away with being a bit slower and older - striker is not one, especially for a defensively minded team like United under Goodwin.
He is undoubtedly brave and a leader, no disputing that.
I'm hoping the new recruitment guy is a bit more creative than to suggest guys like Fletcher.

Haha, only took you 30 minutes.
Nonsensical argument, obviously.
Flethcher has 8 goals this season and 1 assist, at a comparable level to the Scottish Premiership. The vast majority of his appearances from the bench.
Paton and VDS have 0 goals, 0 assists.
Who cares if he's less mobile (don't even think he is btw).
His goal ratio at Wrexham is superiors to Dalby's also. Fletcher 16 goals in 77, Dalby 13 in 88.
Despite Fletcher playing at a league above for a year.
He'd be a good (squad) signing alongside younger, pacier, up and coming forwards.
I think you know that deep down, but you'd never bring yourself to agree with me, of course.

Ewan Wilson - Motherwell
Not sure on compensation and the like but is an outstanding young player who would be quite a coup if we could get - perfect cover for Ferry and dare I say a starter in 1-2 years.
Boyd-Munce - St Mirren
Dan Casey - Motherwell
Finlay Pollock- Hearts

Not for me mate although not the worst idea, I would just like to see us going for guys on the right side of 30.
Don't think anyone would point the finger of blame at him for the relegation season, he was one of the few that actually gave a fuck from where I was sat.
The way that Dalby is finishing the season he might actually be an option for us.

Undeniably he's scored more than VDS and Paton, but that's an extremely low bar. Also his age, there is a reason why you don't get many professionals playing at 39/40 in top leagues. The ones that do tend to be keepers and absolute exceptions (Ronaldo, Zlatan etc).
Just my opinion, other can disagree with me, I'd have had the same opinion regardless of whether it was you or anyone else who posted it.
