Finished the show last night.
I thought the last series was absolutely brilliant, and a real gift to the fans from the writers, producers and directors.
Yes, the first few episodes felt rushed but i get why, they had a lot to cram in, despite it being a whopping 15 episodes.
The last five episodes were fucking awesome. Up there with some of my favourite telly ever, genuinely. I will rewatch this.
Cobra Kai, never dies.

Ok, for anyone who cares.
Those last 5 episodes...Fucking Wow!! Seriously, WOW. I'm lost for words.
The 'free for all episode'...i actually was kinda laughing and saying out loud 'this is fucking madness', made me feel like a kid again. It was just so entertaining and just such an unexpected twist and i actually felt this whole last series felt ambitious. They made the decision to go out on their shield and thank fuck.
Those of us who have been staunch fans of this show have spoken over the years about how this whole show was really about Johnny Lawrence, his redemption, and how, in a lot of ways he represents the common man, the guy in his mid-40s to 50s who feels lost, who wonders where his youth went and how the fuck he ended up here.
The final episode where they done a flash back of him visiting his Mother's grave, drunk and just at his lowest, i will be honest i felt very emotional watching that. I can relate to that very much.
That, Johnny got to confront his 'monster' in John Kreese and actually realise, this man isn't a 'monster', just flawed like us all, who finally, repents for actions, and actually did have love for him all along. Man, that was very powerful. As, was the scene Johnny went to save Kreese from Silver. Like, a Son trying to save their Dad.
To see Johnny finally overcome his final 'monster' Sensei Wolf, and complete his redemption arc, well let's just say, it made this middle aged kid of the 80's very happy.
The final scene where he left the picture at his Mum's grave, after turning his life around. FUCK YEAH
I absolutely loved this show so much and to think it started off seven years ago as a small show on a subsidiary Youtube channel (Youtube Red). Ended up on Netflix, and then latterly ended up produced by SONY (and the picture quality looked cinematic btw).
It felt very fulfilling to see it's deserved evolution.
To all the Johnny Lawrence's out there. Don't give up.
