Tickets for Derby 16th March

A wee heads up folks that tickets go on sale tomorrow for what could be a pivotal game at both ends of the table.

I really hope that we only give them the Jim McLean and if they sell that out give them the Jerry Kerr in sections.

Re: Tickets for Derby 16th March

I'd be careful with that. If we start cutting their allocation futher they'll respond by cutting our allocation for reverse fixtures at Dens. You only need to look at what's happened to the Old Firm to see what petty tit-for-tat behaviour can lead to. If we get the ET, GF and the Shed that's absolutely fine for us. Cutting away allocations for derbies diminishes the atmosphere.

I agree with what you are saying however they will struggle to shift their allocation for JK & JMcL.

What we should do is release it in part to sell onto United fans should they not sell out.

Not sure the basis for saying they'd struggle to sell out the JK and FP stands. They always sell them out every time we play them.

Agree.  Fully expect them to sell enough of those tickets to ensure that discussions about Arab's being in there is academic.

Anyway still plenty of tickets going in our end (just snapped up mine).

Re: Tickets for Derby 16th March

About a dozen single seats and a rump of restricted view in Shed left.   Otherwise sold out.  Maybe we do intend to restrict the Fun further...

Yip, just checked and only a few restricted view seats remain in the Shed. The last block closest to Jim McLean hasn't been released but that might be due to policing.

Although its now the norm for us to sell out three ends it's still a good sign for the appetite our fans have for these games.

As per my OP I hope the club are sensible with the supply to the mob up the road, if they manage to sell both the Jim McLean and JK then no problem but if they don't, hopefully we can offer some of these to the United fans who maybe don't have the spare cash at present considering this match is three weeks away.

Re: Tickets for Derby 16th March

If its a sell out (home end) 3 weeks before the game its makes you wonder how many could we sell if there was no limit ?

Sold out.

Possible that more will be released in the coming days, not great for anyone that was hanging on until payday at the end of this week but you never know.

Re: Tickets for Derby 16th March

If we get a few points against Hibs and Aberdeen, you could sell out the Jerry Kerr. Would prefer a much larger home attendance.

Fuck them.

As someone else has posted, we do that, they will cut the United allocation next time at the ScotFoam, and United season ticket holders who go every week will miss out.

I don't think they would. (Cut our allocation). Their owners are not interested in squabbles they would see that as empty seats they probably won't sell.

They sold 5K against us in the cup and could’ve easy given us another 1K tickets but chose not to, let’s not forget they did that to benefit their own team. A bigger home attendance benefits us. Also, not a chance they leave thousands of empty seats by cutting our allocation.

Weird how people want to see a big Dundee support at tannadice.
