What team and formation would you go for on Saturday?
Offline
3-5-2.
Walton
Manny
Gallagher
Graham or Holt.
Strain
Sevelj
Docherty
Babunski
Ferry
Moult
Dalby
Only two goals in last seven games, I think it's worth trying babunski for some creativity plus two strikers playing in a partnership.

Me:
As per Kiwi
Must win, team on a downer after last string of performances. Pick them up off the canvas Jim

Think I'd go for that XI too Kiwi.
Agree about Babunski. I'd like to see him get more game time to see if he could recapture his early season form.

I think Campbell will play.

Patience will be the key on Saturday, it's the end result that counts. I have watched a good bit of Motherwell in recent weeks and thery are are very poor are creating anything against weak opposition. St Js x 2 and County both just sat in and watched their defence eventually gift them wins.
Give them a bit of space like Rangers done and that number 55 will exploit you as he did last time at Tannadice.
Keep it tight and the least we will get is a point.

Hoping we might see Sibbald on the bench soon.

We will. He's in full training but will be given sub minutes to build fitness and confidence.

If we have any ambitions of finishing 3rd and claiming the massive prize that probably goes with it this is a match we have to go out and win.
Anything else won't lift the slight gloom over recent results. A draw is 2 points dropped which will see the chasing pack making ground on us. A defeat is just unthinkable.
We have to be proactive, aggressive from the first whistle. None of this let's wear them down then score late shite.
It's Motherwell not Benfica.
Need to see the right attitude and absolute full on focus and high energy press from minute one. We must win this game.

The Well fans will be expecting a bounce from their side following the new manager there.
That's my only concern TBH.
Just hope we get the winner against Wimmer.

I'd actually like to see what Fotheringham could do playing upfront in a two.
But, realistically he's fifth choice Striker. Not saying he should be btw.

He was injured according to Goodwin.

Anybody know who’s the referee tomorrow?

Really need the win here. Not too bothered about recent results. Definitely a dip, but a tough run V the OF. We have almost a full squad back. Would like to see 433. Middleton and Trap on the wings. Babunski in the 10 ahead of a solid 2 like Docherty and Sev. Graham one of the defenders. Probably Luca at right back.
As above, I have not understood the stick Babunski has been given. Has been asked to play out of position in most games, has a lovely touch and composure and does try to get stuck in even though it is not his game. Often played in a 2 man midfield and we got overrun. He also played in most of the games that got us up the league to 3rd.

ok we got the 3 points which was the objective at 3pm
But once again I thought we looked ragged for large parts, disjointed at times against a very average Motherwell side.
We can't find consistency in midfield, a second striker off Dalby again didn't pay dividends.
Docherty would probably have made the difference but lost to injury on 31 minutes.
We need to find some form for Hibs visit on Wednesday night but at least we took the points today thanks to a battling 98 minutes and a great team goal that was the difference in the end.

Loved the battling from every player
Love Jort's cameo, he was great
Loved the winning goal
Yes it wasn't pretty but we're back on form. Feeling good about the Hibs game now.

The result is all that matters.
How we got there was exactly as most of us thought we would.
Very uneasy on the eye, lots of needless passing around at the back and in general playing without any real cutting edge.
I couldn't give a hoot all the same, this side look all but certain to claim a top 6 spot and that is more than acceptable for out first season back.
Great to see big Ross Graham back in the side and playing well.

We hadn't won in six weeks. Very important to just win today, the clean sheet is a bonus.
We had to stop the rot.
Very hard game midweek, where we will have to be at our best to take something.
Feel sorry for Ross Docherty. That is him almost certainly finished at United, and it isn't looking good for his career full-stop. He's reminding me of Peter Pawlett. His body just doesn't seem capable of professional football anymore.
Have to hope Sibbald is ready for some action very soon.
