Re: Possible Take Over?

From the article

Elmalı; "Look, don't say why we didn't know, we have reached an agreement in principle with Dundee Utd sports club competing in the Scottish Premiership. We are buying them, hopefully they will say #elehoş on their jerseys." It was learned that the club's purchase price is around 20 million Euros and the official signatures will be made in the coming days.

20 million Euros or £16.5 million
Seems unlikely ..

Re: Possible Take Over?

Alan Temple said there is no truth to it, however, I wouldn't believe anything Alan Temple says, some times he is reliable, sometimes he's not, and the amount of bullshit he reported when Big Fat Tony was here, can't be ignored.

Also, there is no smoke without fire. Numerous sources (reliable or not) are now reporting this. I doubt, if made up, they would just happen to pluck our name out of thin air.

Re: Possible Take Over?

Yeah I’m not getting how it’s been reported so much in Turkey for there to not be a bit of truth around the situation

My point exactly, I very much doubt that we would be the first Scottish club that a Turk would say when asked about a Scottish club.

Interesting none the less, if true, it would be great to hear more about this guy and what his plans are for the club.

Do you know on what basis Alan Temple said there was no truth in it?
I'm not saying it's true or untrue by the way, it was just the random over valued price of €20 million that raised my question

Edit to add.... don't think Alan Temple knowingly makes stuff up. He may be misdirected on occasion though.

Alan Temple just put a tweet out to say there was no truth to it. However there is a number of sources in Turkey running the story now, and like I stated earlier, no smoke without fire.

Sounds like Temple is quoting what he's been told by the club ie nothing to see here.
Turkish media would definitely run with that story, it doesn't make it true. But the media here also ran with di Stefano back to the Fun

I've contacted the guy directly, see if he answers my questions.

Hope he gets back to you mate, however there might be a clause that says that until all details are finalised then nothing more can be said?

Re: Possible Take Over?

I hope there's nothing in it.
What sort of idiot would go to the media before it was all done and signed.

Why would anyone pay £10m over the odds for a provincial Scottish club? Is he going to write off Ogren’s debt, build a new stadium and get us Adidas shirts too? Talk about flying a kite.
