Re: United vs Killie - Saturday 7th December

We'd be taking penalties all day with that shite.

On reflection it must also be said that the performance on Mani yesterday was probably his best to date.

Got to be honest, I never seen it before but this young guy can certainly play excellent with the ball at his feet and was more like a right winger at times😃.

However my main takeaway from his performance was in injury time when he blatantly pulled back their advancing player deep into injury time when we were outnumbered at the back.

That gets you a round of applause in my book, absolutely marvellous, more of that young man.

On the contrary CCX2 he got no applause from me for that, downright stupid, totally unnecessary, no last man issues at all (else he would have got red). We're ruing Ferry's bookings this morning, Adegboyega will be next.

Each to their own I suppose.

For me it good foul to make and a good yellow for the team.

McInnes wasn't best pleased when he hauled him , that said it all.

In real time I thought it was right to take the yellow but I've not seen it back.

I was really frustrated watching that game because we were the better side for large parts but couldn't make that superiority pay by getting the second goal.
I've defended Goodwin to the hilt  but I think he got the substitutions all wrong yesterday. Too late and the wrong players too late.
Odada looked liked a giant penguin, second touch is usually a tackle, and Thomson looked like a wee lost boy.
Surely Middleton for one of the strikers was the first call.
Trying to shut up shop on a 1 goal lead has cost us 2 points imo

But as many have said including myself JG is learning all the time so I hope he learns from that.

Re: United vs Killie - Saturday 7th December

Yesterday our luck ran out. The pen yesterday was very much like Holt’s the week before. Neither pens for me. Thought Killy could have had 2 sent off. The keepers punch on Dalby - on replay it looks like the ball hits Dolby’s head and so does the keepers Fist? So in our last 2 games I count 6 terrible VAR decisions. Some for us, some against.

Anyways, Dalby and Moult both missed absolute sitters inside the 6 yard box. strain should also have done much better in first half. That is on us.

Take a point. Move on. Looking forward to Motherwell

Re: United vs Killie - Saturday 7th December

Agree that Jim got it wrong yesterday with the substitutions and hope he can sign a midfielder in January to allow David to play further up the park where he is definitely our most creative player but noticed over the last few weeks that as the longer the game goes on without us scoring or winning the deeper he comes to pick up the ball from the centre backs with his back to the opposition goal and try to make things happen and we lose our shape.

Created enough chances today to win the game fairly comfortably.

Just further emphasises our need for a new Striker in January, and he has to have pace.

Very disappointing to drop two vital points right at the death, in a game we should have won. Compounded by the fact Motherwell won three points so late themselves.

Also disappointing that Will Ferry got booked. He's now due a suspension.

When. Is the suspension? I’ve heard folks saying the Celtic game and others saying next week.

No idea KDY.

Would prefer him to miss Celtic as we would be more inclined to go to a back four for that anyway.

He misses Motherwell, the 2 week rule as was has been changed this season to 1 week.

v Celtic 451 I would hope, with one of the 5 with pace to support Dalby so possibly Middleton.
