Re: Utd Vs Rangers - Sunday 15th September (NOON)

I'm not that bothered about giving the Shed to Celtic, Rangers or indeed Aberdeen.  The club have a very good idea of how many home fans go to these games and until they are actually turning away United fans then it will continue.  The football experience is enhanced with two sets of fans making a noise in competition with each other.

Until we are selling out three sides to home fans we've got to exploit other teams' fans as much as we can.  I'd suggest that its the main reason for being in the top league!  To suggest that we should sell less tickets, just for a marginal competitive advantage (or a lack of an attack on our footballing or cultural sensibilities) is just naïve.  I hear the extra policing costs point and I think we would be fully justified in passing that cost on to Old Firm fans - might encourage them to behave better, but they'll still pay - there's always a demand for these tickets.  Unlike from our support.

Totally agree with you. It was refreshing to see our 2 stands sold out for once. historically it hasn’t been unless you go way back.

Rangers' Ibrox Stadium has been rated the worst-smelling stadium in the Scottish Premiership after it topped the charts for the highest number of odour-related complaints from visitors on TripAdvisor, more than double Celtic Park in second place. (Edinburgh Evening News)
