Slightly off topic but it's disappointing we haven't really seen anything of Meshack Ubochioma yet.

Looked decent in his YouTube videos when we signed him.

Cheers Stillliving.  I've not seen this him play for us yet and I'm keen to see if he is as good as I hope he is.  Having him back available will be a great problem for us to have.

Re: United vs Hibs - Saturday 19th October

Moult didn’t train Monday, he was out there on Tuesday though. Team had Wed off, so let’s hope he trained today.

Heard Holt carrying a knock too, though unsure how bad.

Jim said yesterday that Hibs tomorrow is probably too early for Moult but he should be back next week at Pittodrie.

Re: United vs Hibs - Saturday 19th October

That was an enjoyable way to win a game.
Not accepting defeat is what the supporters want to see.

It might not be pretty at times, but these guys have a fair set of balls and some dig in them.

Re: United vs Hibs - Saturday 19th October

Back to back wins following on from a 99th minute equaliser, this team have something we haven't seen for a few years.

They might not be the greatest in quality but they just don't know when to stop.

Patched up team, half a side on the treatment table, down 2-1 in injury time and the go and do that, that is what it is all about.

No point in picking through the bones of it, 3 points are all that matter and the way we are going about it is right up my street.

The scenes at the end were memorable, let's hope we have many more to come.

Re: United vs Hibs - Saturday 19th October

What a fucking win that is

Thought dalby was phenomenal, Middleton was brilliant- need more of that from him, love sevelj solid in the middle of the park, thought babunski grew in to the game- never ever hides from the ball, both wing backs good again

The scenes at end after the meshack goal, I’ll no forget this game for a while

2 poor goals to concede but who gives a fuck, brilliant from Goodwin and the lads

I spoke to Moult and Strain prior to the game and both hoping to be ready for next week.

Re: United vs Hibs - Saturday 19th October

Unbelievable desire to score the equaliser on 93rd minute and winner in the 99th minute.

If the quality isn't there you want fight. We are getting that.

Chuffed for Ubochioma. He's had to wait a long time for a chance. Took his goal very well.

Re: United vs Hibs - Saturday 19th October

Crazy stuff.  I thought the first 85 mins was probably our poorest performance of the season so far.  Dalby completely alone upfront with no support and we only looked dangerous those couple of time when Middleton went on both of those runs that Dalby scored from.

Fair play though, we never gave up and that’s all I want to see from a United team.

Some cameo from Meshack - first 30 seconds on the park, falls on his arse trying to flick the ball through his legs then gets booked then goes and does that!

Re: United vs Hibs - Saturday 19th October

You might not agree but winning the toss is important. As we did yesterday. Playing downhill in the 2nd half is the key. I doubt we wouldn't have done that had we been shooting towards the Shed.
As good a 3 points at home I've seen for quite a while although the performance didn't match the resilience.

Re: United vs Hibs - Saturday 19th October

When was the last time we had a team with this spirit scoring so many late goals? I really can’t remember one.

Performance poor. With the central midfield gone and Big Baresi we obviously struggled. I had written Middleton off. Really happy to see him reacting so well, and probably suggests some good man management from Goodwin and his team.

Hibs reminding me of us in our relegation seasons. Particularly last one. Playing well, winning and then imploding. Especially the keeper. Simple fact, even with the red card, the GK’s 2 howlers in 5 mins gifted us the win.
