Forbes out, Wrexham boy is pretty deflating. Tye window had been pretty good up until thst point. I guess the academy is meant ti be our DNA....then you see forbes score a peach and then hes gone. No chance to see what his potential is or do anything for us.

He might turn out to be amazing - plenty boys have done nothing in England and come up and scored Barrowloads.

Also - played in the same league as will ferry last season

We’ve clearly missed out on our first and probably second and third choices for that pacy striker role. The thing is, most clubs down south aren’t gonna give you one of their youngsters if they aren’t gonna start most weeks. If we’ve said they’ll likely be here to come off the bench and make an impact in the last 20 minutes of games then they’ve probably just told us “no thanks” hence us moving down our list of targets to the boy from Wrexham who’s probably just been a last minute offer from an agent to Goodwin. I personally wouldn’t have bothered and would’ve just tried Kai there, but it is what it is. If he’s not good enough then he just won’t play and will be back down the road in January, we’ve still got two good strikers at this level.

Re: Last week of the Summer Window

As with all new signings I will wait until I've seen Dalby play before I pass judgement on his suitability for UTD.

Re: Last week of the Summer Window

I mean, the signing sort of makes sense if you think of him as a more obvious back up to VDS. A striker who moves in to space to link up play, but is less physical (according to Wrexham fans).

Still very disappointing not to have that pacey option, only other option that crosses my mind would be to play Middleton there in an emergency.

Assuming he's still here and didn't sneak out the door unnoticed

Re: Last week of the Summer Window

A lot of outgoings which most of us agree was required.

I don't often compliment the higher management at the club but well done, it can't have been easy to have shifted a squad that was assembled to get us out if the championship and with the remains of the Ross/Fox/Ashgar disaster.

As a few have said, the jury is still out on most of the new signings but even when some of these guys don't work out, it won't break the bank to shift them on.

Obviously we would have wanted more but we have been sensible in this window with room to add in January.  I seen Jim saying he's already looking to the next window, forward thinking it will never catch on!

7.5/10 for me.

Re: Last week of the Summer Window

Hearing Stuart Armstrong is training with us.

Now it's doubtless just to use our facilities to help him get fit before he finds a new club, but he's 32 and has made lots of money in the past 10 years.

I wonder if he fancies finishing his career where it started 🤔

Re: Last week of the Summer Window

Had SA not made the wrong choice of clubs he could have lined up for us at the Accies tonight.
Any Weegie Arabs going or is £16 to get in enough to put you off?
Were we not a fiver for the Wee Derby where we slaughtered them on pens?

Re: Last week of the Summer Window

If Armstrong is serious about his law career after playing he could do worse than signing for us and doing an afternoon interm at a local law company.

Re: Last week of the Summer Window

Did Goodwin not assault Armstrong with a clothesline block the last time the two met at Tannadice?
