I think I’d leave Middleton out.

Re: Ayr vs DUFC - Saturday 3rd February

                       Walton
Freeman   Graham   Holt     McMann
                           Doc
           Sibbald                 Kai
                   Wotherspoon
                Greive       Moult

Subs Newman (?) Grimshaw Middleton Watt Tillson Mochrie Cudjoe

4-4-2 with a midfield diamond, attacking width coming from the full backs (and yes, I'd give Freeman an opportunity in this role as it's the part of his game that's a strength when he's playing well).

Just realised I'm not sure who our match day back-up keeper is.

I feel confident that this team would give us goals. Just not sure which end they would be at 😂

Win at whatever cost today. 4pts clear going to a raith team we owe a kicking.

Exactly this. Looking ahead, for a moment, if we can win our next 2 games we’d be 7 ahead. You’d think that a 12 point swing would knock the stuffing out of Raith.

But one game at a time of course.

I rarely disagree with JGs team selections. Watt & particularly Fotheringham were garbage last week .
Also good to see Glass & Freeman out of the squad. Freeman is heading for junior football.

Thank phuck fir that result the day. Was beginning to think we wirna gonna get any advantage on Raith.

Was quakin it the day TBH.

Rest easy the night. Goodwin lives up to his name for the time being.

Lucky but a great win today. Game could’ve been totally different had Walton not made that good block at 1-0 down. I agreed with dropping Kai and Watt but they both played really well when they come on with Watt changing the game, get them both back in for Moult and Greive for Raith.

4 points clear at the top…

Re: Ayr vs DUFC - Saturday 3rd February

That was a vital win.

Beat Raith at their place in a fortnight and that should be that, seven points ahead with only 13 games left and a vastly superior goal difference to boot.

Though it being Utd, no doubt there will be a few twists and turns yet.

To me that was great management. Dropping them obviously had the desired result. Watt’s performance last week was diabolical.
