In 2023 the name Dundee United will be a century old (changed from Dundee Hibs to Dundee United in October 1923).
To mark this special occasion in the clubs history would you be in favour of Utd going back to our original Dundee United club badge for one season?

No harm in having a season with something different, but I'd maybe suggest that we only do it on an away strip that copied the white top, black shorts and black socks with white trim of the day. It is a pretty pants design though....

Could be an issue with the shield. Although the Funsters use a shield of sorts so might be doable. Retro strips always seem to go down well so could be a good away kit.

Wouldn't be against that badge returning for a season possibly just on a centenary kit and maybe a new badge on the main kit for a season.

I really like this idea TEK

I think its an ideal opportunity to go for a new badge. The badge has already been changed a couple of times anyway.
Maybe it should be left to the next generation fans to pick a badge rather than legacy fans like myself🤔

Like this idea for one season. An away white strip perhaps. Would be a good seller with the Arabs .
I like our club badge as is and don’t want a change there though

No. Leave the past where it belongs.

It could work, an away white strip should be mandatory every season.....I still like the old slanted DUFC.... but i'm an old dinosaur so maybes's not for everyone....

Season 1923/24, Bill. We wore that badge on our shirts for just that one season and then didn't have a badge on a Utd shirt again for over three decades (the letters DUFC ) in block capitals inside a shield.
The one Billy Hainey is wearing in this pic and your profile pic (though we can't quite see it in the latter).

I know that 1 Tek. I have that shirt, and I think I have a pin badge based on the Club Crest.
[(BTW Tek, that's Jimmy Briggs and Sandy Davie on the front of the programme)

Apologies mate, so it is. All before my time but players of real repute for our club.

Think this is a great idea. Even it it was just on a white away shirt. Or do we even where white as the home strip for a season?

We're probably paying someone from Revolution £50K a year to come up with that too...

The badge from the 1983 league winning strip for me personally.

As our Centenary celebrations are imminent a week on Friday against Arbroath, i thought i'd post this.
Now forgive the team, but this is what i would love to see Utd do a week on Friday.
Bring out all our heroes from the 70s, 80s, 90s and on wards...Individually, so they all get the cheer they deserve.
Just imagine the likes of Graeme Payne, Andy Rolland, Hamish, Narey, Malpas, Kevin Gallacher, Big Dunc, Olofsson, Billy Dodds etc etc all coming out one after another. Tannadice would be bedlam.
I'd also love a huge picture of them at the reception area with the photographer looking down on them from the stairs. Would be a photo for the generations.

I would like to see a new badge but with the inspiration from the 1923 badge. It's just a bit bland. Wouldn't be against it on a third kit for a season but definitely not on the main kit.
