Re: Nadir Ciftci

When he can be arsed slipping into even 3rd gear he's easily one of the best players in the league.

Considering we got over 2,000,000 a piece for Gauld+Robertson i'd want 3,000,000 for Nadir.

Would take McKay but feel we would still need another forward as we would still be left with only ONE forward.Bilate forever injured.Moore+Ola not ready yet.

Re: Nadir Ciftci

Think also that McKay couldnae lace Nadir's boots tbh.So wouldn't regard him as an acceptable replacement.

But could be a decent squad forward.

3 million then please.

I hope McNamara gets players in immediately if we do decide to sell another of our top players.

Re: Nadir Ciftci

Nadir is starting to put a wee bit of form together. Thought he played well yesterday without scoring. He was choking for a goal tae

Re: Nadir Ciftci

I would've been like Jackie and protected him for Sunday.

Then brought on Sparky, and played 5140, to protect our 6-1.

Only joshing, cos I was screaming for 7.

Re: Nadir Ciftci

Definitely worth a good few quid anyway, just need to look to what others have been sold for at other clubs. Only downside is he gets too frustrated, which affects his consistancy. Apart from that he is a top player who really should go onwards and upwards.

Re: Nadir Ciftci

If we were to lose him it would have to be for serious wedge. I think it would put a real dent in our season if he went

At this moment it is probably the one I fear most. Basically not many in that position, and who else can we get in with that quality. GMS leaving would be a sore one too, but as much as he has been and is a match winner he hasn't started every game like Nadir. As much as Nadir is frustrating I think he is a bit more consistant and is a constant threat for most teams even when playing badly.

Agreed. I think we need a striker in anycase but too lose Nadir would mean we need 2 and we would miss him more than any other player.

Saying that I'd be amazed if he was here next season.

Re: Nadir Ciftci

Losing Nads would require a massive readjustment of how we play. He's a number 9 and 10 rolled into one. There is no-one else like him in Scotland. Shades of Liverpool losing Suarez.

Re: Nadir Ciftci

Losing anybody this month would have to be very worthwhile financially, and also have to happen early enough to allow re-investment. Problem is nobody wants to do business till the last 2 days, this is the biggest problem we face.

Re: Nadir Ciftci

Love Nadir. Temperamental, genius, madcap - all the makings of a cult hero.

Its great watching players who get the crowd excited when they get on the ball knowing they can conjure something out of nothing. He would be a massive loss, however if we got £3m for him it would soften the blow. Its great that its now not going to the bank, think what we could do with that money.

The money would maybe go on a small fee for a player or 2. It would also go to the fans who gave loans to the club. It would also secure club long term.

Losing Ciftci though could effectively end our season though

Re: Nadir Ciftci

i genuinly think if we got good money for nadir, with the amount of good attacking midfielders we have, if we bought the right link up strikers we could become a better team...imo

Without doubt.  It's finding that right striker that's the hard bit.
