As Bennyboy highlighted in another thread and other sports writers have mentioned surely no harm can be done by signing the Top Goalscorer in Scotland and in the meantime one of our lesser if not well established Clubs in Scotland benefit from this now and in the long run. Take a look at Queens Park for example, for all the mumping and moaning which may actually have been incouraged by some West Coast manipulative red tops, they have indeed themselves been drip fed £100000 by the unfairly criticised but World Famous Dundee United Football Club.

Tbh Queens Park more than deserve that fee for the players we've got fae them for nowt.

Glad Utd done the right thing by them, even though we technically didn't have to.

I think someone else said it further up the board (Rocky Raccoon?).

If we do our business with these lower league clubs in the correct fashion, then they are far more likely to be receptive to doing business with us first and foremost when their are 3 or 4 clubs knocking at their door all looking to sign an upcoming talent.

That's fine for a business model but I just see that as a concidental but well deserved by-product of the WF way.

Sporting integrity from ST, and Fair Play awards from years before is where I empathise with lots of posts on this board.

I think we should have done the right thing by QP anyway mate, don't get me wrong. There's no ulterior motive on my part.

But it's also good business practise (and we are also a business) to establish a good relationship and be respected in the trade,so to speak.

Our recent dealings with Queens Park and now Arbroath show we are a club most lower league teams would wish to do business with (and therefore may be more receptive to our advances if us and say two or three others were all offering similiar type bids).
