Dundee United vs University of Stirling - Saturday 21st January

Hope Utd take this seriously and put out a recognised first team. I'm all for giving game time to the fringe players but let's get the win secured first.

Need to keep momentum going and go out, play 90, right attitude, thrash them.

Re: Dundee United vs University of Stirling - Saturday 21st January

Disagree with the comments above, for me we should be wrapping the likes of Fletcher and Edwards up in cotton wool.

These guys are critical for our survival this season and if the like of Graham and Sanaku can't replace them against a non league team full of students then they are at the wrong club.

Should easily have enough to win this one with a bit left in the tank.

Fully expect the likes of Niskanen, Pawlett (if fit after his 5 minutes last week), McGrath, Meekieson, Sanaku, Mulgrew all to be given starting slots.

We shouldn't be taking it that easy though and for that reason the Finnish goalie should still be on the bench.

United to win 7-0

To clarify the above united Arab emarite.

Playing a goalkeeper that couldn't keep Elephants out of a phone box would be step to far and taking the piss.

We should be pumping this lot tomorrow.

I'd start our strongest team. Can make wholesale changes on the hour mark.

Be good for the likes of Fletcher, Middleton and McGrath to get a goal or two. Keep confidence levels up.

Players who are scoring and winning are happy players. Boys like Anauku, Cudjoe and McLeod should get last 25-30 minutes.

Agree with that. We have to play our strongest team from the start. The gap between the teams is not that great.
I've seen Utd lose to a number of part time teams over the years even a hint of complacency and this could be another one.

Re: Dundee United vs University of Stirling - Saturday 21st January

Are we really at the point of worrying about a team of students 5 leagues below us? Fully expect a hybrid of current first teamers and younger lads to get a relatively easy victory

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Same score line as the last time we played a Non-League side in the Cup (Forres Mechanics at Tannadice in 2002).

In the hat for the next Round. That's all that matters.

Spectacular goal scored into the East stand that day also.

3 good goals that day. Alofree's free-kick the pick of the bunch.
