Dow made a positive contribution mate. Not a criticism of him as such (though he should have scored that at the death imo),more an exasperation that we haven't seen Connolly since the Motherwell game.
He reminds quite a lot of Gauldy (wee, low centre of gravity, great first touch, nippy, quite a hardy wee guy,can play a killer pass, only plays the ball forward).
I understand Jackie being reluctant to field our team with young guys who are dwarves but imo these boys can really play.Keep the ball on the deck, play at a high tempo and very few teams can live with us in this country.

He came for Shifty did he no with about 10 mins to go. Was beginning to think I was seeing things - a few folk sayin they couldna remember seeing him. He had a couple of good punts at the goal as well.

I know mate,i just meant we haven't really seen him make a significant contribution in the first team since the Motherwell game.
I know he was injured for ahwhile too but it's frustrating because i would personally like to see him starting most weeks.

I felt GMS was largely the reason we managed to claw the point in the end with his moments of enginuity. He seems to have perked up a bit last couple of games, anything to do with potential speculation of a transfer away this January window perhaps, as overheard a few folk at the game mention the possibility?
Was a strange game all in considering the start we had, but was very aware we weren't taking our chances. The second half redeemed it enough so that I don't need to worry too much but still very very frustrating. The cynical side of me thought we wouldn't manage back to back wins and sadly was proved right.
A few definitely disappointed in their performances, Erskine was just trying to hard and the pitch was catching him out on occasion. Not too sure what to make of Keef, will he be able to remain beyond this season? Rado needs to get a grip with corners and crosses, if in doubt stay on the line although he could do with some one watching his back post a bit better. Armstrong as well needs to become more commanding, he knows his strengths. He seems to be too affected by the other teams tactics at times and can never get free, but he is good enough to give most teams the run around.
On a side note, the pies were fucking minging! And the length of time to get one too.
Had a steak pie, looked good but was just warm at best and I'm sure it was the cause of my dodgy stomach later that night - Pebble dash! ![]()

Meant to say last night that auld Main Stand they put away fans in at Firhill is a disgrace.
Only one wee toilet down TWO flights of stairs. And just enough room for say 5 guys to piss in.NO cubicle.WTF you meant to do if you've got bairns with you and they need to go?Had to queue the whole of the second half just to take a piss. They also for the 2nd time in a year totally underestimated how many of our fans would turn up.Loads of Arabs myself included getting in 5 minutes before kick off were struggling to find a seat.I ended up going right up to the top of the stand to stand. Also had a rip roaring arguement with a jobsworth steward who wouldnae let me go through a wee bit of tape to go to the toilet right underneath the stand.Instead had to walk about a 5 minute detour bothering everybody in my row to stand up and let me by.Walk down the stairs and then have to walk down another two flights of stairs to their fire trap toilets.
That place is an accident waiting to happen imo.
Thankfully i got in for a tenner but gonna send an email of complaint to Thistle (something i never do).

We were there for the early away League fixture last year, the stewards were knocking back people at the gates, wouldn't entertain the suggestion of letting people out one at a time for a ciggy to prevent a Bradford starting in the toilet/s in the main stand, a sensible suggestion in a smokers opinion. They handle it at night clubs with arguably more drunken people at the same time. The Pies were lukewarm and on the turn with no tomato sas left to mask the mould, the toilets were incredulous and made you realise trainspotting may not have been filmed in Edinburgh afterall, think chipwood wallpaper but actually concrete doolie catchers with battleship paint in patches and your on the right track for those who haven't been! Just passed the Derry on Dens road today and some poor old cunt was trying to tart up the harled wall with a paint brush (must be a deesciple on Dundee Mad or an auld pest on community service) no wonder the grand masters of Scottish Football predict Armageddon without the billygoats when you visit grounds like these for the prices they charge in the middle of winter. Let's be honest if it wasnae for the hairy legs bulging out Speedo like shorts and the smell of wintergreen we wouldnae go would we boys? Aaah the good old days! Sorry just drifted there ![]()
