Re: Summer Transfer Window

The parallels are strikingly very similar to 2015/16, see Guy Demel.

Arnaud Djoum ex hearts, heard we’ve been speaking to him.

He's already here.

Hearing another player on trial also.

Hopefully a centre half

Re: Summer Transfer Window

If Ogren has watched Neilson walk away for potentially nothing, and he's now having to shell out more cash to bring in centre half cover, surely he's asking questions?

Bit of info from elsewhere that the other trialist may be Malaury Martin. A 34 year old French player who has played at Hearts previously.

Can't see much in it given his age, but you never know.

Not so keen to waste budget on players in 30s, especially as we have a mixed track record of signing players who spend a lot of time on the treatment table.

Much prefer the approach we had under Levein of trying to sign hungry players, like Gomis or Bauben, and more recently it worked with Fuchs

Arnaud Djoum signs for 2 years.

Re: Summer Transfer Window

Looking forward to seeing what Djoum can do.
I can't remember him at Hearts but that was probably due to our spell in the seaside league.

Re: Summer Transfer Window

I think he plays a defensive role in midfield so happy that we have finally got someone at the club who can play that role for us.

Very frustrated it took so long to identify the profile of such a player.

I am also a bit lost with the direction of the club off the field at present. We have Pawlett, Birigiti, Mulgrew, Fletcher, Harkes, Djoum and McGrath (on loan) all on a very good wage and none will return any transfer fees that the Owner said he bought the club for.
