Aberdeen away 26/2/22

Hoping for a better performance this time round than the last time up there on day 1 of the season.

Heard on Friday we’d sold around 1000 tickets so after yesterdays result i expect we’ll shift a few hundred more anyway.

Re: Aberdeen away 26/2/22

Same team as last week for me as nobody deserves to get dropped.

Any news on Kev McDonald, Peter Pawlett or Adrian Sporle?

Two different games, this week we need to create and for me I would like to see McDonald back if he is fit for Levitt or Harkes. I am no stat to but I don’t think we created a single chance in the second half last Sunday.

We only seen home for 70 minutes the other week against Motherwell but what I seen was just what we needed in the middle of the park.

Butcher will be a target for them this weekend and he needs to show composure but also the strength he brings to the team.

Horses for courses, could this be the week that McNulty sparks into form. His best game was vs them last season at that shithole so maybe it will be a wee omen.

Re: Aberdeen away 26/2/22

Take a point.

Unbelievably up to 4th (for now). Big, game on Wednesday against Livi. Will tell us a lot about which of the teams will make Top 6.

Been working all day, so know nothing about the game other than the score line. How were we today?

Stuffy would be about right. Didn't create much but worked their socks off which is what I want to see first and foremost. I had the United, Dundee and Man United games all on at the same time and jeezus would I not want my team anything like the funsters right now---that was an embarrassment-fans walking out at 20 minutes--McGoo arguing with a teenager in the stands at the end. We're doing alright, Niskanen must drink ten red bulls before a game.

It's not where you're from it's where you're at.

What actually are their injuries, do you know?

Was said about 2 weeks ago (by Courts) that Sporle 'wasn't far away'.

Re: Aberdeen away 26/2/22

1st half thought we played well overall.  2nd half - rank rotten.

Re: Aberdeen away 26/2/22

After the 2nd quarter that UTD had that made many shout for TC to go, with.now only 1 defeat in 9 things are looking a bit better.

With 5 games to the split we could easily finish between 4th-10th.

Granted we are far from being a great side but after the 4year nightmare of 2nd tier football it's now good to see we are now at least a competitive side at this level.

Onto Livingston.

Re: Aberdeen away 26/2/22

At least Aberdeen tried to win the game yesterday. Looked to me we were quite happy with a point.
