Not much of the 1990 line up left these days but this is their new one. Really good IMHO.

Haven't done anything worthwhile since about 1994
Shite IMO

Have to admit I really liked the Up at the Lake album from '02, fairly good easy listening for the most part.
One of my favourite bands going by the play count on my iTunes.

Just listened to the new song there, some how didn't listen to it the last time. Really liked it, video helps set the mood but something I could just leave on while sitting out the back on a sunny summers day. Big easy long notes in there doing it for me.
Albums is out in a few days I think.

The Charlatans are to appear at HMV in Argyle street Glasgow tomorrow at 17:30 for anyone interested who is close by. They are handing out wrist bands today for tomorrow, just need to go along and collect one.

Downloaded the album on Monday there. Not bad, the first half of it is very good, but then it peters out 2nd half. So Oh and Come Home Baby are the best tracks on it but Emilie and In The Tall Grass are good as well. The best album they've done for a long time though (probably since 'Wonderland'). Still not a patch on Some Friendly, Between 10th and 11th, Up To Our Hips and The Charlatans though.

Really liked the new album. Only the first song I am slightly unsure about, for me carries well right through. Plus an album I was able to listen to right through without skipping. Gets better with more listens for sure.
Up at the Lake and Simpatico were both good albums I felt, especially Up at the Lake.
