His CV is so bad he can only do well!
His last sacking was less than 4 months ago after a 9 month spell at Stockport County in the National League.
There he was actually assistant manager to manager Simon Rusk who has come with him to Dens.
Seems Strachan got McGhee the job, they 'worked' together with the Scotland national team.
Why doesn't Strachan just do it, can't because he's still got some sort of job with Celtic?
Or doesn't want to ruin his reputation by getting them relegated?

It seems a really lazy, 'jobs for the boys' appointment from Strachan and Dundee.
Even more bizarre when you consider Dundee's last two results, which have been their best for quite some time.
Not going to stick the boot in or laugh till after we play them at Tannadice on April 9th though.

TBH, dinna think their result against Livi woulda been much different whether it had been him or McPake.
I like maist fowk we a wee but oe knowledge oe Scottish futba, wonder WTF Dundee sir thinking aboot appointing him.
Then again, gettin rid oe McPake was weird tae in the 1st place. He'd won the last twa gehms and in doing so got them thru to the Quarter Finals oe the Scottish Cup ........
They then get rid oe him, and bring in Mister Magoo. Beats the hell oota me.
