His brother likes to tell the story that he once saw Dan go up for a corner. He started his run at the edge of the box, jumped at the penalty spot, made contact with the ball on the six yard line, and followed through to header the crossbar!

​My old man played alongside Dan for at least a couple of seasons.  My old man played the vast majority of his junior football for Downfield, not so sure how many seasons Dan was there for though. Dan was some player, my old boy rants and raves about how good he was.

Tell ye what, Ryan Edwards must be up there in a Utd capacity.

That was his 6th headed goal for Utd in just over a year (1st one v Kelty Hearts on 13th October 2020).

Some going and he is a real threat for us in the air.
