TC said they don’t know with siegrist yet. Has scans and things to undergo.
Harkes picked up a knee injury yesterday.
Where was butcher today?

Seen that. Refuted the fact that it was his cruciate but said he'll be out for 'more than days'. So weeks or months.
Not sure how he can say that if we don't know his diagnosis. But it doesn't sound great either way.
Fingers crossed it's not his ACL.

Not wishing to derail the thread but the fact we have just signed Dylan Levitt, who seems a bit of a 'water carrier' type midfielder has me thinking that either Butcher or worse, Fuchs, will be away by next Monday night.

Any update on Benji???
Assuming not.

would have had his scan by now?

Is Archie Meekison still injured? He went off against Arbroath. Nothing has been said about him since.
Also, how long is Logan Chalmers out for? No official update on him either.
Saw Louis Appere on the training clip. When is he likely to be fit enough for games?

Likewise would like to know wtf is going on with Finnish laddie ?

The club must know what is wrong with Benji by now?

I'm not convinced he'll ever get his work permit. On paper he doesn't meet the criteria (in short, not a regular for his country and playing in a minor league) but the rules are somewhat shrouded in mystery with a degree of discretion.
Also the press release only said we'd "reached agreement" to sign him pending a permit being granted. With the transfer window being closed, and no confirmation we actually signed him, it's a bit fishy.
Not sure we'll ever see him, but happy to be wrong.

Great news.
Carson is a good Keeper, but Benji is up there with the best in the Premiership.

He will get his permit rubber stamped. No doubt about it.
St.Johnstone's Finnish internationalist signing got his permit okayed on Friday.

Judging by photos and videos, Appere, Meekison and Declan Glass are all back training. That just leaves Logan Chalmers who got injured a month ago but never been any official timescale put on him or any update on his recovery progress.

You might be right, but I wouldn't agree there is no doubt about it happening.
The current criteria is that he should have played in 75% or more of Finland's matches in the last two years preceding the application. He has currently played in 6 out of 23 matches, which equates to 26%. There may of course be mitigating circumstances such as injury, illness etc.
Therefore he has no automatic right to a work permit, and the next stage (which I presume is where we are at now) is that an SFA panel consisting of representatives of the footballing authorities and up to three independent experts. The panel will have to decide whether he is an "elite sportsperson who is internationally established and who's employment will make a significant contribution to the development of their sport".
As Niskanen is not currently a regular for either club or country, and has most recently been playing for a lower league team in Germany, I don't think it is in any way a slam dunk that it is just a case of rubber stamping the permit.
Time, as ever, will tell.

Just watched the DUTV training video and Chalmers is there at the start of the video doing some stuff although you don't appear to see him much later on in the more intense ball work. Maybe just doing light stuff but hopefully getting there soon. With Niskannen no closer to signing it would appear we could do with more width in the team.

St Johnstone’s Finnish player that’s just got the work permit hasn’t played a single game for the Finland full team(according to Wikipedia).

Very quiet regards Calum Butcher eh? That's weeks he's been missing. With no real news as to why.
Same with Trevor Carson. Pulled out of the N.I. squad nearly a month ago now. Been missing since.
Archie Meekison. On DUTV weeks ago saying he was close to returning. Nothing since.

Again we have complete silence regards a few first teamers.
When is Max Biamou due back? Were told he'd miss 3 games. He's already missed 4.
What is Dylan Levitt's injury. Courts saying today he suffered a reccurence of his injury before kick off. What injury?
Where is Liam Smith? Been out for months now.
When is McNulty back in training?
What is Freeman's injury and how bad is it?
All questions i'd love the local Dundee press to ask this coming week.

I can understand why big Tam doesn't want to reveal news to the opposition. If they are kept guessing as to who is fit, they'll have no clue how to set up against us.

I'm talking about longterm injuries here, not players who have a niggle.
Regardless, i doubt Van Bronkhorst or whoever would change their team, formation or how they play one iota if we were to reveal that (for arguements sake) a Max Biamou or Marc McNulty were back training.
