Laughing stock? The 1st team is poor atm no doubt about that.
We employ an inexperienced manager, time will tell whether that works or not.
How that equates to laughing stock, I've no idea.
Pull yourself together man.I'll do that when you take your head out of the sand. It's a sad day when the Dees are hoping nothing changes at Tannadice, the rest of the football world are scratching their collective chins at what is going on and our inexperienced manager is getting memes and ridicule for his bullshit bingo post match interviews. I hope Courts pulls it out the bag, of course, but nothing gives me any confidence that he will.
Pay less attention to social media and rival fans shardenfrauder. If Courts dosent win games he will be removed if we employ an experienced manager and he dosent get results he will be removed.
It's only 6months ago that our neighbours were almost unanimously screaming for the removal of their inexperienced manager.
I can very clearly see what is going on as I said the current 1st without additions is destined for league 2. However calmness is required.
I appreciate your sense of loyalty and patience. As an Arab of over 40 years standing we have needed that in spades over the years. This is different.

More likely his agent suggesting that he can earn XX at an interested club where as he is only on X at Tannadice.
It's the football food chain.
That's how he came to Tannadice in the first place.

Be gutted to see him leave, but really can’t blame him.

Probably the last real chance to get any real cash for him. If he has made it clear that he will not extend his contract the club has a decision to make.

Whilst, i agree with that Beharder, the fact that it is doing the rounds in football that Utd are actively trying to sell their two prize playing assets this window (and others) means that interested clubs will know we are desperate for cash and probably hold off until late in the window, when we are more likely to accept a lesser bid.

I would say that almost everyone in Scottish football in the last year of their contract is up for sale. It will be well known in the small circles of Scottish football(agents) who wants who and what wages are achievable
The same applies to us as a buying 🤞club looking for the best deals at the end of the window.

Absolutely, but that will be the excuse, wasn't signed up to the vision so had to make some money on him.

No big surprise, we offered him that new contract weeks ago and not heard a peep since. The plan was obviously to extend his contract, hope he'd bang in some goals to bump up his value and sell in the Jan window or end of the season. Now the club has to sell him this window in order to get some return on him and it will probably be for peanuts in any case.
Can't wait to see who we have ready and lined up to replace him...

If Utd sell Siegrist, Shankland and Robson (and anyone else) this window then we need to see an ONSLAUGHT of signings. And not just 3 or 4 i.e. replacing what we lost. Let's cut the shit, we'd need about 6 minimum, maybe even 7.
2 Strikers
2 wingers
CAM
Left back
Back-up Goalie
Anything else and we run the risk of becoming detached at the bottom end of the league, either individually or with another team.

If we sign 2 strikers one needs to be a proper big target man and the other needs to have pace.
We could also do with a central midfielder who can put their foot on the ball and dictate things to add to TEK's list.
I was thinking about things yesterday and came to the conclusion that the group that played on Sunday (the Championship winning team) have done well to get out of the Fundesliga and keep us up, but have taken us as far as they can. We need a major rebuild with incoming boys with pace and who want the ball, supplemented by the young players we have like Chalmers, Mochrie, Smith, Freeman etc.

I've said for a long time it's not even really certain positions we need in the fluid world of football these days. It's specific attributes. Now obviously those attributes are going to be deployed in certain positions inside certain formations but the team is crying out for composure, pace and attacking power. How they are deployed is optional but we're so limited in the tools at our disposal currently.

That is where we are I believe.
The RN team was put together to bludgeon/grind our way out of the Championship.
The Hearts/Covid situation halted any plans we had for a squad rebuild.
However without that rebuild I think most are agreed (regardless of who the manager is) we are only going one way.

Don't disagree with that. The only real regret I will have on the playing front is that I think with a couple of decent signings we could have got a whole lot more out of Shankland and also be further down the line with the Academy player integration as we would be a more established top league team. I think we could have done with speculating to accumulate on that creative midfielder and winger 12 months ago and we would be in a totally different position now, maybe at the cost of some Academy spending and associated iPad holders.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing though.

I would add into that mix that the Ogrens are now expecting to see some signs of the model they were sold working, not the full payback just some sign of the green shoots of success. Out with Banks sale there has been no other sales.

Correct, I assume that they also would not have been too happy with the Aberdeen line up given the only saleable assets on show were Shankland, Siegrist and Robson. I wonder if Robson is now just being sold to prove to MO that the model will work (i.e. a player that we have developed being sold for cash). If we are insistent on 5 at the back and Sporle is fit then not sure I have too much issue with that.

From memory, shankland is on huge cash (compared to the majority of our team) - so perhaps the fact we got so little from him last season combined with the fact we could possibly sign 2 players for the sake of 1....

Have to say I am disappointed (if the rumours are true) that he's off to Hearts. Think that will come back to haunt us.
If he does go in the next few days we need his replacement in immediately.

Rather he went to Belgium or England than Hearts - £500k isn’t too bad considering how much we’ve ruined him in the last year.
Assume it will be Mcnulty that we are lining up to replace him.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on mcnulty??
