Diving in at the deep end with the word hatred are we not? I don't like the way he operates and I don't think he is good for our club. Granted he bought Shankland and that got us promoted. He then lucks out with a manager that keeps us in the division with pretty much the same team (that he then punts in less than a year) for a guy who was already at the club when he was getting punters to believe that Steve McLaren was coming to Tannadice.
I don't blame him for appointing Courts - it is pretty clear that he is all we can afford - but to try to sell that as some sort of piece of the masterplan is simply bullsh8. I believe this man has the potential to singlehandedly bring about the end of the club I love if he does that I will hate him, I won't be the only one. Those who fiddled whilst Rome burned will of course still love him.
If we are relegated this season then I think that will be us. Great time for us all to be following a TA inspired flight of fancy.
I mean fair enough, that is your opinion but man it is so extreme. I'm not going to try and change your mind but "single-handedly bring about the end of the club" and Rome burning really are drastic things to say in our current situation. Which if I have understood your thoughts correctly is that you dont like the manager he (along with the rest of the board btw) has brought in?
I want signings and I want them soon. We NEED them, drastically. But if we dont get them I think we still have enough to get us by. Having said that, the window closes on the 31st August. It is a long time away. I would rather have boys in the door now, but if it takes time and we end up with the RIGHT ones, then I'm fine with it.I've got nothing against Courts. Not his fault he's been offered the job. I'd have taken it if I were him too. As is obvious its the Director of Everything I have issue with.
I genuinely do think we are in a position whereby if we are relegated we are pretty much finished. If that comes to pass then big Tone will be the man to blame.
At least we have 38 matches left to ensure we dont get relegated aye? lol

Nah, we'll be confirmed after about 33 or 34

I’m not sure it’s that big a deal.
He’s the goalkeeper coach, not assistant manager/manager.
We’ve brought in Caig who has a good reputation. Problem sorted.
FWIW I’d heard he was on more wedge than courts and we wanted to bring that inline. He refused, he left.
Might be shite, might be something entirely different. Maybe he doesn’t like the methods TC & LF are employing.
Nobody knows though so will be speculation.

This sounds plausible. What other team would have their manager earning less than their goalie coach? Sounds like we're sizing our management team for the junior ranks already.

to be fair if my company asked me to still commit to doing the same job while taking a significant pay cut I would tell them where to go so if true can you blame NA, we have a decent replacement in so hopefully no issues - has to be better than when we had McCall as our manager and no keeper coach, just used them for shooting practice!!
Online!
Just watched Caig interwiew on propaganda TV.
Unimpressed.
Can't see how Benji can learn much off him.
Can't imagine Benji will be overly impressed either, will he feel he's nothing to learn off this guy after of NA , will he feel he can learn off a guy who's track record is lesser than his own ?
Benji's performances will take care of themselves, his natural discipline, pride and work ethic refined by NA's coaching input has taken a young keeper to one of Scotland's best who you'd like to think would play for his nation. NA's results speak for themselves.
But, will Caig appointment hasten Benji's inevitable departure ? - I'd say so.
Maybe Ashgar feels this appointment will bring on Carson prior to that departure.
I'm left feeling the mediocre are leading the mediocre.
Really really hope I'm wrong.

Ironically, to begin with references to “propaganda tv” that’s some amount of reaching you’ve done. How TF can you judge what benji can learn off a coach from one interview? The circumstances around this aren’t great but the assumptions you’ve made are a massive leap

To back shakey up, I used to occasionally listen to interviews with Stevie Banks on arabzone, and I found it interesting. Even as someone who played in goal as a kid and an adult, albeit a very low level, he made a lot of good points about the role of a goalkeeper and his coaching style.
Jackie got rid of Stevie Banks and replaced him with a complete clown, somebody Hinchcliffe, and from his first few interviews on arabzone I was worried. He just talked and didn't say anything apart from cliches. About a year later, watching the scottish cup final against St Johnstone, we conceded a very similiar goal to previous games against the same opposition that season. Rado was not a bad keeper but I think he was badly coached and it cost us big time.

Caig Interview/Propaganda TV
- Here you've got an Asghar appointment, interviewed by club appointed joker.
- Scripted questions set out to avoid awkward questions, cliched & transparent answers, designed to impress and allay our fears at Alexander replacement.
Propaganda.
How can I judge Benji's thoughts ? - As per what I've set out above.
But Caig interview out there in public domain was the opportunity to ask the question.
Of course It wasn't and it couldn't. So I'm left to judge for myself.
Didn't do it for me, propaganda and an insult to the intelligence.
Alexander to Jambos or Tranmere ?
